You know Barber motorsports is like 300 miles away from PC, right?

OK. Just wondering as not a lot of people would be up for a 300 mile one way trip. I'm not one of them but know a bunch wouldn't care to drive that far.

hello everyone
i live in the crestview area and have always wondered where all these rx-7's are everyone else tells me about. ioccasionally see a 1st gen or 3rd gen in crestview, a couple of white 2nd gen.s in fwb, and i have a s5 tII. the few times i've been to p'cola and pc/pcb this year i haven't seen any.

FYI - there is a s4 convertible for sale in pc off of us98, but, i think they want to much, $5500 i think she said.

i actually go to the meets in tallahassee and belong to the s.e. rx-7 club.
just figure out a time and place and post it up. would be very interested in getting together to see what everyone has done to their cars/engines.
there is a multi-club charity meet in tallahassee on 9/24, so that may be a consideration for the date of the meet.

Just registered for this forum. Don't own a 7 yet but will one day. Depending on my schedule I might be able to meet with you all. I made a meet in Tally last year that Fritz put together and had fun, but it would be great to meet other rotary owners in the Panhandle. I see several 8's around, but have only seen one VR FD in the area, and that was crossing the bridge in FWB. I love the 7, but haven't had the opportunity to get close to many.

There are LOTS of RX8s in Pensacola , but hardly any of them are modded ... mostly just regular " driver " cars driven by consumers in the non-aftermarket class , just as transportation :

I don't drive my Rx-7 to Navarre very often, but I do drive to Eglin from time to time. I drive a black 3rd gen with black interior. My car is mostly stock (minus some reliability and suspension changes). So if you seem me come over and say hi.

Incase you are interested I have also seen a red 3rd gen along with multiple Rx-8's on base. I haven't managed to talk to any of the owners yet though.

In Crestview I have seen a silver 3rd gen, a red 3rd gen, along with a white 3rd gen. The fellow who owns the white 3rd gen lives down the street from me and I have talked to him for a little bit. There is also an Rx-8 in my subdivision, but I haven't talked to him yet.

When did u see the silver 3rd gen and where? If it was before hurricane Dennis it might have been me. I was up there for amost a year until I moved back to p-cola. If it was after then it is definately someone else.

I saw the silver 3rd gen at Lowe's parking lot near I-10. I think I saw the car about two weeks ago.

So why did you move away from Crestview anyway?

I agree, is Tallahasse a fairly good jump off point. I can't see drawing in the So Fla folks on this one but you should be able to pull support from the central/n. central bunch.

Just updating with everyone. Speaking for DVSseven's behalf (original thread starter) and myself...we're game for October if others can make it but can delay stuff if things come up or whatnot. As mentioned by Jamie, we plan to have the meet here on the beach and have lunch/dinner at Hooters. Photoshoots/vids will be taken too of course. All of this is tenative and can be changed by all. Whatever happens, let the rotaries unite! FDZ

I moved when Ivan the terrable came to town. It took them extra long to finish the house after that. Plus I work in pensacola.

Might be able to go...

I have just recentally gotten my 7 up and running properly.. and I have lots of family in Panama City.. So if I don't move there like I'm supose to in the next few weeks, then I'll definately make it there for the meet.

tallahassee is in! uh, okay, 1 from tally at least, lol. i'm sure a couple more from here may go.

one question as you've probably had beach meets before, your cars don't suffer from the sand and junk right?

...my FD is doing well. No build-up or impurities from the air/moisture of the beach..but then again, I don't live right next to the shore to really experience anything.
