Awesome first meet for me... and abcdefb, your marks were pretty sweet We should deff. hook up sometime in Gainesville. And I think Collin wanted barneys rear bumper... lol. And thanks a lot Ray and Ray's way for hosting it all, it's a new record! And I dont think anyone ate any doughnuts... so you two enjoy them.

James, I know your name is James, it's just that the background reversed circuitry of my brain wants you to be showing up in Frank's mint SA, which we did not get to see today. Not that I've got anything against FCs or anything.
About the driveway, it's gravel. When you drift down a gravel drive it spreads the gravel around the way it's supposed to be. And the sound of rotaries reverberating through the valley made the day.
So, we have a new OGTA record: 10.5 12As. Documentation to follow but here's a photo of the participants, minus Michael who had to leave early:
Special thanks to Cathy, Michelle and Sharon for putting up with us.
And thanks all you guys for coming down, especially the Carolina contingency.
Ray
PS, anyone want a doughnut?

Ray, next time you should let me drive one of your FBs so I can experience whatever the **** it is you guys see in them :-P
On my drive home I was grinning like an idiot because I was enjoying my FC so much. What's sad is that I was listening to that Spice Girls reunion single....

Well that was a fun road trip................Found out that some times you just have to trust your crazy *** friend, that keeps telling you..........Go ahead and drive the SA, it'll make it. I wouldn't have believed that the "junk yard queen" would have done that well. Ray.....Cathy....thanks for having us, and thanks for all the FREEBIES! We had a great time. Got to meet some new people, and everyone got home safe. Now........if we could only convince the GA guys to come up here some time...........

Stu, when you came walking over with your carb in hands, I knew the meeting had been a success. You are lucky to have a genius like Sam to do all your work for you. It looks like some of your pictures didn't show, if you want to email them to me I'll be sure they get posted!
And anybody else with photos please post them for the rest of us to see.
Collin, FCs are nice, they just aren't FBs or SAs. Next time we'll let you take one out for a spin to see what we mean.
We should all be grateful to Mike for his behind-the-scenes work in organizing this thing and both he and Greg for suggesting the Saturday meet. Mike and Cathy did all the work and I took all the credit.
A Carolina get together would definitely be in the cards for a future Saturday meeting, we should rotate the meeting site each time.
So Three questions for the OGTA folks to consider:
1. How many Saturday meetings per year - One, two or three? (We will still continue to have our regular business meetings on the first Tuesday of the Month, 7:00 pm at Jeffrey's in Suwanee).
2. What should the dates for the Saturday meetings be?
3. Who wants to host the next ones?
Again thanks to all for a great day.
Ray

LSD is in the storage room, not the car, lol. Should be installed soon, been on once and then removed, i need to change some things that go clunk back there, when the LSD grabs, been told bushings. But for a one tire peel it's good, and now everyone can find ray's place easier. lol

i wasn't sure what ray's neighbors would say about that kinda stuff, otherwise i would've done a couple lines, so i just wound mine up thru the gears when i left. plus the tires being cold i knew they wouldn't make noise or leave any marks. i actually thought someone would have wanted a ride to see how it runs compaired to stock port. but yeah finding ray's again, nooooo problem. we all know now that old leads to new. mapquest needs to update their ****.
uhh, what happened to those last 8 pix??

never mind about the last 8 pix. must have been my end, they were real tiny. anyway, stu, sam, tg, here's what i have uncovered about those directions: had we followed them to where new kings bridge came in to 441, that was way farther than needed. see attached pic. notice that we took old kings bridge to get to new kings bridge.

Yesterday was a beautiful day. A great idea, if I must say so myself. Your place looked great and had all of the room we needed out front to line up all of the cars and raise the occasional cloud of smoke. The food was excellent also. I think we convinced my wife Sharon that she can have a good time these events. Of course if you had stayed gone with Cathy's jeep a few minutes longer we could have watch her go after you with your own Rx-7.
We may want to do this about three times a year. To hot in the summer, but fall, winter & spring would be enough.
I'd volunteer my place but I’m on a cul-de-sac with little room to park. Plus the neighbors would probably turn us into the EPPA.
I’ll e-mail my photos.

Yesterday was great, but life is back to normal for me already.... -sigh-
Spent about five hours in the parking lot of my dad's store trying to figure out what the **** is wrong with his '02 Silverado (with 150k precisely). At first, the motor took a big **** and dumped most of the oil out in the parking lot. The leak turned out to be a (fram) oil filter seal that some how ballooned out of it's groove, allowing oil to gush and gush all over the place.
What's scary is that when we drained the oil, before the oil came out, the first second or so looked like straight water! Same with the oil filter. When that was poured out, there looked to be some water in it.
Found a few little booger sized bits of white jizz-like substance here and there. This is bad.
Not only that, but the truck would NOT start. This isn't the first time it's happened. Turn and turn and turn, and no fire. Went to autozone, bought new spark plugs and some starting fluid. Pulled the old plugs (coated with gas from all the starting attempts), attempted a low-grade de-flood and then installed the new spark plugs. Shot in some starting fluid, connected the jumper leads and.....
Nothing. Spun over, no start. Still got the white vapor from the exhaust though... Then after about 30 minutes of sitting, it finally weezed, sputtered and knocked into life. Kinda runs like ****. Oil pressure is aggressively different with the changes in revs.
I'm mainly worried about the water in the oil. My dad says every now and then he has to refill the reservoir because the add-coolant message flashes in the message center. The motor does some ticking and some knocking. All lame ****.
/rant
So if anyone has any ideas....... speak up. Personally, I think that it's unacceptable for a 2002 truck with 150k of commuter driving to have all of the issues it does with the suspension and steering (Shakes like a mother bitch) and the brake and hub failures it's had.
Oh life...lovely life.
Oh, I turn 18 tomorrow.

That's easy Collin, don't drive boingers, especially Silverado trucks. Help your dad find a REPU, it will change his life. And Happy Birthday, those brownies were for you.
Nice pictures Brett, thanks.
Cathy wants me to thank all you guys for all that food you brought, so thanks. We are munching on roast beef sandwiches and tortilluni salad as I type, excellent. Then we're having dough nuts for desert.
Greg, send the pics to Stu, he knows how to post them bigger without the Cardomain watermark. How'd you do that Stu?
Thanks for the map, Michael, that makes that Old Kings, New Kings road thing a little easier to understand. Only locals know about that cut off.
So, all fired up by all those 7's in the drive and another record breaking day here in Jefferson (74 degrees, highest ever for the date) I took to working out that dent in Zach's silver car and going over the brake job, which has a few issues:
Before:
About half way there:
Sam I found those FB steering wheels I thought I had, they were in the living room. I'll post up some photos soon.
