OGTA Lakehouse Meet 2017 - that's number 8! June 24th-25th 2017
It's that time of year again, kids. Come on out to the Rotary Lakehouse (patent pending) on Lake Hartwell, along the GA/SC border on I-85. Come for the beer, stay because your car might not start!
We'll get things started around 10 or 11, so we'll have time to get folks parked, play on the lake and get ready for lunch (usually around 2). You are encouraged to stay over Saturday night if you've been drinking. Ask around. There SERIOUSLY is room to sleep well over a dozen folks. If you're driving a long way and want to join us early on Friday, that's fine. Shoot me a message.
Directions are HERE. Don't trust some lame-o to get you there without getting lost.
We've learned a few things over the years, so there are a couple of guidelines. Who doesn't love rules, am I right ?!?!
1 - all beer is communal. Don't let this keep you from bringing the good stuff!
2 - no politics, please.
3 - you should sign up for a dish or supplies of some kind. We won't turn you away, but come on, let's be cool about this.
4 - please do what you can to limit the cooking mess. We don't have a ton of extra pyrex, just one oven, etc. Pre-baking is encouraged.
5 - if you're sleeping over, please bring a blanket and pillow / sleeping bag. We have 3 extra sets of beds plus other couches and things, but I can't guarantee that YOU will get one.
We're also sponsoring a compression test weekend. Highest NA compression and lowest turbo compression take home some form of bragging rights. For turbo cars, your car must start and leave under its own power to qualify.
Address is 511 Harbor Point, Hartwell GA. Shoot me a message if you have any questions
Please post up here in the thread if you can come, and what you can bring. We'll keep reposting it and keep the list running.

Zach, just bring whatever you want to share. I can't take charge of this, we've done ok in the past with everyone chipping in and seeing what is needed. So far, who is showing up?

I don't have any updates beyond what's here in the thread. I'd like to invite Mazmart Paul up too, but travelling for a few days. Bonus points for anyone that can get Stu to show up

I've got to pull the plug on the lakehouse. With only a handful of folks that can make it, with MBA work getting me behind, there's just too much going on. Plus the tiff with Ray takes the fun out of it for me. If a better weekend later in the summer works, we can definitely reschedule.
