Eddie, do you happen to have any experience with HP Tuners? I'm still having issues with my 'vert and could use some help. The PO installed a laptop port below the steering column to use with HP Tuners, from what I recall. He also told me that the computer (from a 1998 F-body) is 'unlocked' as well.

The car starts, runs and idles fine. But after a few minutes of running, especially under throttle, it starts to bog down. It eventually gets to the point where it sputters to a stop. It won't restart for quite some time, but, eventually, will restart.

I need help.

No. I had him announce it for general knowledge... It just happened to be posted THIS week two-hours, ex post facto.

I think it was posted a couple of pages ago, but meh.

So!

Here's the skinny:

Wednesdays, Brophy's Irish Pub (196 SW 2nd, across from Market Street) > BrophysIrishPub.com. 9pm-ish.

While parking downtown is free, there are some spots, but we can supply the parking garage card for free parking.

It would be my suggestion to make it earlier, since the parking on the street would be more readily available, then, instead of later on.

Some chime-ins would be good.

Sorry, no experience with HP Tuners. Does you car get hot during this time? Not seeing it or knowing anything else, it sounds a lot like symptoms of vapor lock. Happens every now and then to my brothers 68 vette. Runs great, after a while it sputters and then dies. After a cool down, perfect again. Doesn't happen often but it does happen.

We would need to see HP tuner log history to see what is going on under throttle.

Doesn't require the car to be hot. I could go get in it right now, drive out of my street and then jump on it. Doing so would cause it to bog down immediately.

I'll see if I can find some HP Tuners help.

@Ruler_Mark: Thanks for the tip. I thought I'd ask Eddie first, given that he has an LSx swapped car as well.

OBD pushing any codes? I have a checker if you want to borrow one.

Injectors? Clogged Fuel filter? Check spark plugs? Not sure how many systems you went through.

I'm not too keen on parking on the street...or in a garage for that matter. Sucks the Mellow Mushroom closed down so that area isn't blocked off for 7's alone anymore. =(

A Honda Civic... Ooooooh, yeeeeeeeeaaaaah

As far as parking on the street, it isn't like, A You're parking on some random street, out of sight, on a hella busy night; B We don't have down town security. I guess dealing with them is a little different as a downtown employee, versus a drunken bar-hopper, but they're pretty decent about being around.

Dunno what to tell you, in that regard.... Uhm.... A place like the 'Shroom would be optimum, but alas.

One of the reasons for the pub suggestions is for the hella drink specials; NTM I kinda got a fix on the bartender.

I still haven't gotten a chance to talk to the d/t patrol about usage of the parking lot - normally when I'm there, I'm thinking about work, not much else.

If it's a no-go, no big; just let me know.

LOL. My project car is the vert.... Strange how those things seem to work themselves into odd positions, isn't it.

I haven't gone through much of it yet. Lack of time and lack of know-how (on my part). Turns out the guy that does my DD work has some LSx knowledge, so I think he's going to poke around it for me.

OMG how the suspension is setup it has TERRIBLE wheelhop. Gets a nice full slide on 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Best time was a terrible 13.6 at 104, should be 13 flat to very high 12s. Needs a standalone bad, to crank the boost up a tiny bit and raise redlines. Should do 12.2 after that or lower with a really good tire combo.
