I was thinking it would be great to try and get a nice meet together later this year in North Florida... I'm thinking Tallahassee would be a good spot for the middle ground! That would allow people from Pensacola and Jacksonville to attend. It is about a 2 hour ride for just about everyone unless you live in Tallahassee of course. I'll be scoping out some parks and if anyone recalls where we used to have them there or has a good park idea in that area. Can make sure to do some BBQ or possibly cater the meet with enough people willing to pitch in.
The plan would be to try to get this meet together maybe in October 2020 or November 2020. Nicer weather, lack of possible hurricanes, and it gets you plenty of time to get your car in order if you plan to drive it! Also, we can all hope that the COVID nightmare will start to subside.
Dude you need to bring that FD up to Cars & Coffee In Habersham. I am always the only rotary there. I use to bring up a 79 until my FD and in the last 6-7 years, I havent seen another one.

Any North FL RX-7 Meets - moving from CA to Ponte Vedra in 3 wks
Just curious if anyone gets together with their rotaries as I'm moving to north FL in 3 wks.I guess I'll have to prepare for my R1 to get wet - it doesn't rain out here in Cali.....just got some better tires with a 200 treadware so if I get caught in a typical FL squall - I won't slide around.

hey Matt, awesome car. There's a yellow FD in the local area, but it's not true CYM. There's a good, close knit group in NW FL. what city? I'm out of the country right now, but get back in a few months. my FD is in a rebuilding process (20B) so she'll be out of cruises for a few months (maybe Sep/Oct). Send me a message on IG (gt3_fd_rx7) if you have any questions since I'm not on here much
Yea, I'm not on forums much but will have more time soon as I'm retiring at the ripe of of 54 in Ponte Vedra (20 miles south of Jax). Anyway, would be good to meet up maybe when you get back this Fall (from your avittar looks like you may be riding a CVN boat ;o). My Dad was CO of CVN-69 (the Ike) back in the late 70s....he flew A-6s (like 6,000 hrs+). Your triple rotor build sound fun - would love to see it some time! Take care.
There are quite a few FD's in the panhandle, and I travel to Orlando occasionally as my son lives down there. Huge Rotary representation in that area as well.

That is great news. I went to Destin and did not see an. i assumed there weren't many in that area. It is great to hear there are a few there. I plan on moving that way in a few years.
