Daytona Beach Area

Hey everyone in the SE group, I was looking for fellow RX'ers in the Daytona area and also looking around for shops. I saw the official shop thread, but a lot of those are no longer in business even in the Orlando area and none showing for this coast. Just checking to see what I can find out.

I am out of Orlando. There is Kilo Racing in Saint Cloud, Fl. He is a one man shop and builds some great engines, tunes and works on only rotary cars. He has a great reputation of building reliable cars. His shop is always clean and he is a stand up guy. His name is Jesus Padilla. You can use my build as a reference if his work. My build is called 93 rx7 improving a great sportscar. There is a rotary meet at Ace Cafe on May 1st. Brap on and welcome to the community.

A little for away but Pettit Racing near Palm Beach is a great place. Cam has done some great work to my buddies RX8 and his past FD.

I also recommend Cam at Pettit Racing. He is very good at what he does. Kilo Racing has a background in building drag cars and Pettit Racing has.a background in building cars for Circuit Racing. I use Kilo for tunning and building engines. I use Pettit for suspension, brakes, and cooling. Everything else I do myself or ask for help from my rotard friends. Brap on.

Thanks for the info. I'm not looking for drag or circuit work, just a reliability mechanic if needed. I'm planning to learn and hope to be able to deal with most of what happens myself. I've got a high idle that I need to mess with this weekend and other stuff should be alright for now.
