Just a heads up, turn out has been sparse (guess my 60+ runs would indicate such) any way if you actually like to drive your car (how bad you flog it depends on you) and you'd like to be able to do the road course we need turn out. If it continues to be low they will go to less hours and more money. Right now it's 6 hrs for 40 buck, it used to be tow 4hr. sessions for 30 bucks each or 8 hours for 50 bucks but if turn out remains low then they will go to 4 hr.s for $50 (like 10 to 2) would be there next trial. You have to figure if you've ever done SCCA runs and paid 25 to 35 bucks for 3 to 4 runs and spent all day out there to do it this is definitely a deal. Timing is done by your crew and I'm still looking for donated timing software to go with my laptop and timing sensors so we can eventually have a way to record times.

You have to watch the gainesvilleraceway.com site under roadcourse for postings on when they will have it available. The dates will vary depending on what clubs rent the track on given weekends, BTW drifting is fine as long as you keep it on the black top or don't get too crazy with the spin outs.

I wanted to go to the last one, but money got tight. I should have a few extra dollars this time, but I'm working.

The one you need to pass tech. isn't very cheap, usualy between 60 and 100 bucks depending on type and size. Do you know anyone you can borrow one from. I'd offer mine out but I use for my personal motorcycle helmet and there fore don't lend it, (kind of like dive gear if you know what I mean) Jack

Pre registration?

Do you have to pre register for the event? I'm going for the first time. My buddy is bailiing, previous commitment he forgot about.

Oh well. I'm still going. Hope to see some 7's there.

You sign waiver at the gate get your wrist band and your tech. card, fill out the card, turn it in to the tech guy and he puts a number on your car, pull up to the starting lines (2 lines form) and if it's after 10 we make one slow pass in the car to get familiar with the course lay out then next time at the line you go for it. Last time everyone dragged in and it was 10:20 before we started making runs, best thing is to get there a bit early get through tech. and be ready to go at 10.

Hey Fritz,
I'm running mixed sets of tires both are cheap (better to tear up) POS brand tires, rear are 245/45 Yokahama AVS (I''ve just about got these worn out, probbably last track session on these) and some other no name brand on the front that actually work pretty well and eliminated my understeer problem they are 255/55 I've been running 45 to 48 psi on them and they are getting me around the track in any where from 55 sec to 59 depending on how much I hang the back end out.
