Well i have talked to some of the guys from the charlotte meet a month or so ago and they say its time for another meet and i agree. Well here is the deal i have tried to take suggestions and nobody responds so im going to set this up and hopfully we will have a good turn out.

1st weekend in May i am going to find a restraunt that will let us park legally in their lot and also get a group seating area so people dont have to run off by themselves. Plan on meeting around 2-3 pm. Once every one arrives we will go for a drive, there are some good roads up here in the country, and i figure between my dad and i we can come up with a good route. i figure a hour or so drive would be nice then we will meet back up and meet and greet and eat. there is a cool mexican restraunt in town that is in a shop area but on the weekends theyre the only ones open and we could use the parking lot. plus its good food and not that expensive. hope we can get good response on this one but either way im setting it up so try to make it.

Hey man, sounds good! Unfortunately, I've already committed to the SC crowd. Here's my idea - take it or leave it - lets get everyone to go to the SC meet on that weekend? It will be down in "Chucktown", so it may be a bit far to travel. Anyway, I just thought it might be kinda cool to get a bunch of us NC people down there too and that would make it like a HUGE meet. Plus if you think about it, a lot of people came from SC last time. What do y'all think? Here is the thread.

Like I said, its just a suggestion, so don't let me rain on your parade or anything. Just throwin it out there. What do you think?

 

well im not sure where that is but i read its on the beach so thats a bit of a hike. last time we meet we had people form va and tn so im sure it would be to far from them, i was going to do it the 2nd weekend but that interfers with the rrdi guys so i still plan on a meet here the 1st weekend in may, but thanks for the invite.

first weekend...that is the 6th?!?!? if so, i should be able to make it, but have to be in johnson city, tn that evening...so i'll have my wonderful marine gear with me!!! (hopefully i can get a quick easy way to TN without going back to asheville.

 

That's the first weekend my boyfriend gets back from deployment! Otherwise I'd be all about it!!

well guys i just got a county map so im going to plot our course and run it this weekend in the 7 and see how it is in person, i just got the car cranked after two weeks so she is acheing to get out. ill let you know how the run goes robert

yeah i know alot of people are planning on going to the sc meet that weekend, so maybe we can change it, i cant do it the thrid weekend in may my fiancee has her taxidermy compettion that weekend so maybe the second weekend but that would interfer with rrdi. i wonder if they have any big plans that weekend? maybe they could come up and go for a drive?

 

that will be sweet we should do that. we should set it in stone and make a new thred saying so. but we still have to get a place where to meet.

 

i know we need a place im working on it and i have drawn up a map of some roads, i plan on driving it this week, i think we should still have it that weekend, i know some sc guys are heading to the beach but some might not want to go that far, heck even if we still ahve less people it would be a fun drive and meet, think we should get some rrdi guys to. what you think marshall?

 

We're having a meet this weekend in Raleigh on Saturday 4-22. We're having our usual meet at 6-ish, but we're going to be taking on some curvy roads with whomever wants to come early at 4.

Also, the first weekend of May... my boyfriend is coming home from deployment, so I'm having a Surprise Welcome Home Birthday Party for him on May 6th... I'm inviting those of you I had met at Deal's Gap... but the more the merrier if y'all can make it. I don't want TOO many people, cuz otherwise I'll have to charge admission. Hehe.

Anyway, I'd love to come down to a meet there in SC sometime in the next couple of months... so you guys definitely need to plan to have another event sometime soon!

Our club often has cookouts and bonfires and drives and things here in the area... I think we'll probably do something in June or July... I'll pass that along once we get closer. For now, I have enough on my plate.

 

i'm in...i'll make the trip, if its the first sat, then i have to leave and get up to Johnson City, TN for the evening, if its another weekend, i can hang out later.

I'm in the process of getting my '78 model '79 running. I just have to get the ''83 Long Block engine in there and rig up the electronic ignition and I am good to go. Oh and her new GSL-SE Suspension swap !

During the time the meet is going on my '93 FD will be going threw a *5 speed swap. *Hopefully

So I should be able to make it. In either car SA or FB. Don't count me in but if I can I will show up. all depends on $$$ .
