My GSL-SE TII lives. Bluh haha
Just wanted to let all my Mid Tenn buddies know my white GSL-SE TII swap is alive and terrorizing Manchester. It is still not perfect with the Microtech base map running rich due to high pressure pump and 680cc GSL-SE secondaries. But it still pulls hard and if it is alive in a month, it will be at the Symrna meet. Thanks to all who have tolerated my endless questions and showed my the ways of the rotor.
Great to hear it.
Gald you got it going. I'll be asking you a bunch of questions. I'm going to be putting the TII motor in my other truck and will be looking for a lot of answers. I will not be using any of the emmissions so most will be blocked off. I'm thinking about using the factory ECU until I can decide on a stand alone. I'll be talking to you soon. Charles

If you are going to run a stock ECU, I have two S4 TII ecus that I no longer need since I now have a Microtech. Feel free to ask questions. I am still rather new to rotaries, but I have taken apart and put together most things about 10 times so I have learned a bit. Good luck. I love the Turbo power.

Well my victory dance was short lived. She just burst a hole in the front oil cooler line and began to puke oil out all under the car. Does anyone in Mid Tenn have a spare oil cooler line they would be willing to part with? I need the one the connects to the front cover.

I talked to Paul and he said he would check with David. As far as lines, I need both cooler lines now and I wouldn't mind getting another cooler if it is clean because mine has a small leak, repairable, but a leak none the less. In my infinite wisdom, I cut off both lines because a guy in town could supposedly make me new ones. Unfortunantly, after I cut them in two, I found out he doesn't have bango fittings. Oh well. Right now, I am just running a line from the cover to the bango and bypassing the cooler all together. Oh by the way, I also just picked an 81 Starlet. I'll try get pics as soon as I can get my mom's digital camera.

Running stock boost. Maybe a little more due to cone filter and high flow exhaust(3" RB downpipe, Borla muffler, Supertrapp tip). Also, TII trans w/custom 3" driveshaft.
I blew a oil cooler line a while back and I took mine to a local fastner shop and they took my old fittings and made me a new line. Quick, effecient, affordable.
This is Rotorhead34 by the way

You totally did awaywith the factory 1st gen ecu, correct? I have a microtech that I'm getting ready to put in as soon as my son and I get his 7 up and running. I still have A/C, and was wondering if I need to add an idle control actuator for when I turn it on.
What did you mean by 680 secondaries and running rich. I run 750 primaries and 1000 secondaries. You should be able to remap for injector size and 680 secondaries should only come into play under boost and upper rpms. What size primaries are you running. Trust me, my **** runs rich, thats why I went to Microtech. Did you get the hand controller or the laptop adapter. How do you like it so far?

I replaced the stock ecu and engine hiring harness with the Microtech LT10s and its harness. The install was pretty easy. About 5 hours tops. I have the A/C, but removed all the emissions and idle control system. I have my idle adjusted to about 1500rpms and with the Microtech if I fire it up and rev it for about 15 seconds and then let off, it idles just fine even with the A/C on. As far as the injectors, I am running 550cc TII primaries and 660cc GSL-SE secondaries. It runs great on the primaries because that's what the base map is set for, but when I floor and get around 4000rpm, it starts to bog as the secondaries engage. At part throttle, it revs clean to 7000 no problem. I am going down to Huntsville in June to have Brian Cain tune it out. I have the laptor adapter, but haven't used it as Brian advised me not to. He said it just makes it harded when he has to start by correcting my changes from the base map.

I swapped the 550cc's back in instead on the 660cc's. The car runs great and pulls hard to 700rpm so sweetly. I'll try to get the lines on by this weekend.

I went ahead and installed Microtech fuel pump relay. I haven't used any of the auxillaries. By the way, that was supposed to say "7000" not 700rpm. That would really suck if it only pulled to 700.

Yeah. That mechanical OMP helps. No problem on helping on the wiring, though aren't you going with a megasquirt? Does it come with a basic harness and diagram?
