Mid Tennessee Club Racecar!!! Project

Ok I am in possession of the MID TENN region SCCA race car project.. It is a 1981 Rx-7 with the 12A, It currently is stock and will be built primarily for the track, I.E interior will be stripped, rollbar installed, strut bars, ect.. This car will be open for DONATING/ REGISTERED members (when that is availible) to use at local SCCA SANCTIONED EVENTS, be it time trial (drifting yet to be decided) or whatever.

The car currently has the following

Short Radiator
FMOC
5-speed
4 Barrel Carb..ect

The car is located in COLLEGE GROVE halfway between M-boro and Franklin... 18miles south of franklin..

Anyone who wants to put time of donate parts pertaining to the buildup of this car is more then welcome to. Chad And I (Trevor) have already started working on her, and are clearing out all the other 7's parts cars I had laying around to make room for the car.

PLans for the car-

7 way adjustable shocks/ lowering springs
Gsl-se sway bars
diamond racing (or similar) 15X10's with kuhmo race rubber
Front and back STRUT BARS
Removing ALL A/C components and anything unneeded under the hood
2nd gen directfire setup
Lots more

If you have any extra parts you feel we could use please send me an email
We are looking to buy performance parts too if they are SUPER deals... We need everything.

Thanks and keep checking back for updates as the build goes forward..

Here are some pics I took just to give you an idea...

I had a spare header pannel, bumper, fender and headlight assembly so the car is ok body wise, except it needs a passenger fender if anyone has an extra.... (the one on there is dented pretty bad)

So here are the first of many!!!

I am thinking about a crazy paint color like ORANGE or something....well probably post a poll about it when the body is back together and I am ready to spray it...

If you and your team are willing to shell out the bucks, I'll sell my rims and tires.

15x8", Centerline IMSA wheels, Falken Azenis 205/50-15 (70% tread front, 30% tread rear)

Centerline appraised them @ $3,100... due to the fact that there were SEVEN sets made in 4x110.... EVER.

Make me a nice offer, and they're yours.

Trevor,
I am trying to buy that Mig welder, so when I get it we will be in business.
We can fab the strut bars instead of buying them.
If needed we can cut and weld an extra shifter also.

Scca

I have a set of 2nd gen coils.

We do need a header and a dual tube or 3" exhaust would be nice with no cats, just a muffler.
We need to pull the rad and oil cooler and have them flushed and the rad dipped.

Trevor, I have both a mig and a stick welder. The Mig is very portable and runs off 110v. I also have some spare 7 parts out in the shed. Not really sure whats out there but your welcome to it to. I do know there are no performance parts left. Just some stock stuff, radiator, 83 rear end minus 1 axle, springs, struts, etc.. Let me know if I can be of assistance. Charles

If you put the GSL-SE spindles and hubs, then those 15's we spoke about could be yours.....

they are really cool, especially if given some care and maybe powdercoated, but they don't really need it... and they have a nice dish too... how much would a conversion be??
