We only have had one meet thus far and we want this venue to grow into a weekly gathering of ROTORHEADS.

Meet us each and every thursday night at 8:00 PM in the same Fuddruckers parking lot but just to the rear of the parking lot in front of K Mart.

Reason for this is that it is the same night that Bike Night takes place. As not to bother the Harley and chopper riders we are meeting in front of K Mart.

Don't forget... I dont know what it is but I have to constantly repeat myself and give detailed GPS instructions where the KMart is.. because it always happens there are one or two that try to park at Fuddruckers and then are calling me on the cell phone to find out where we are. Sound familiar Phil ?

cant you make it on a weekend? i work on weekdays

 

I have been part of car clubs before, and I can tell you that a weekly meet doesn't usually pan out. Especially with the younger folk.

I recommend making it a once a month thing, otherwise it gets too played out, just like towers.

The only regulars at towers are vendors, rich guys with toys, and little kids trying to pick a race.

Just a personal observation.

 

The meets cannot be tailored around your schedule only... most people have sundays off that is why we have get togethers on sundays.. this one happens to be on a weeknight simply because some guys were tired of going to Towers on friday nights.

If you only work weekdays then why were you working this past sunday when we had our meet at Dolphin Mall. That's right you said you were working overtime..My bad. well that was your choice to work overtime on sunday instead coming out to the meet.. i dont blame you if you want to work.. i am sure you have your reasons.

Directfreak's opinion of the meet on thursday becoming someone inundated and boring like towers may have some validity. I think that its worth a try and see how it works out..

Paul 'Lucky7305' had suggested having the get togethers at Southland Mall because they used to have them some years ago.. i believe he said he would look into it.

Let's try thursday nights and see how it turns out... it may just work out.. who knows.. but lets give it a try at least... sound fair enough ?

The ones I took last night came out really dark... so i am using photoshop to lighten them...

I will post later today... .. turns out its not the throttle cable... just simply that Charlie the mechanic used safety wire to hold the cable to the carb linkage and the safety wire gave up... so that is why i could not go past 35 MPH...

I dropped my girlfriend at her house and then its was a top speed of 28 MPH going home.. A cop got next to me and I flashed him my badge so all was cool.

Great having you guys that showed up last night plus it was a good time at Dennys.

You didnt meet him at the last meet because after Dolphin they had to leave back south.. His name is Ron and it was his fist time hanging out with us. He and his brothers /friends from Trinidad had the Red 1st Gens. Also they are friends of Crispeed.

I hope you get a chance to come out next week thursday as I am sure that this meet will grow.. we had a lot of fun and specially afterwards at Denny's. You would have had a chance to meet my girlfriend.
