I have asked this question because I dont see much activity happening here.

The last couple of new Rotary owners that have attended the meet are ones that I brought over.

I am not attempting to look good on here but I am trying to make a point. I have sent all of you whose emails I have a copy of a Flyer ...

Have any of you done anything about it ?

Have you print it out and actually approached someone who drives and RX7 or RX8 ?

Last night I was at the Hammocks Shopping Center and I just happened to have noticed Phil's 'AICRotary2' Copper FD parked next to a Red RX-8. I decided to park next to it and I left a flyer on both the windshield and the drivers side door. I called Phil but he didnt answer his cell. I proceeded to the Library where I was headed and then Phil called me. He said he had noticed my vert parked next to the Red RX8. He told me he was working out at Porky's Gym so I asked him if he knew who the RX8 belonged to and he said that it belonged to some old guy. I asked him further if He spoke to the guy letting him know about our club and our meets. He said NO because he didnt think that some old guy would be interested in it so he never said anything about it. I was a bit ticked off... because I would like to deter that kind of mentality.

I waited around til almost 930 pm by the RX-8 and the supposed old guy wasnt that old.. he was about 40 years of age.. His name is Evaristo... I told him about the club and the RX meets that we have and he said that he would love to be a part of something like that... he was looking for something like this to come out and meet other RX8 owners.

What is the moral of this story ?

You have to do your part. Promote the club... Recruit people ... if you are shy just break out of your shyness and go out and talk to the people. Give them a Flyer .. get their cell number or email address and let them know that we will inform them of future events , BBQ's and so on...


SO C'MON PEOPLE LETS RECRUIT AND MAKE THIS CLUB HUGE...

i was at work in the kendall ice arena in the hammocks plaza wer u saw phils car and u left a flyer on my car.. that plaza is always full of rotaries.. mine, my frend alex, and theres always a bunch of rx8s around there and phil is there sumtimes 2 lol

 

Wow how random! I was the the ice arena today! My FD was out front.

 

Ok Ariel... so tell me when you see a bunch of RX8s have you gone up and talk to them to let them know about our club ?

im always at porkys gym maybe not at that one but at the other locations

 

all in all ive talked 2 a total of about umm 0 rx8 owners because i dont got time.. i go there cuz i work there not to walk around the parking lot recruiting people 2 the club.. but wen im inside and ppl come up 2 me and say ooh is that ur rx7 outside? i talk 2 dem about it and they end up telling me they have frends wit rx7s and all that bs so i tell them 2 go to the meets.. thats the most i do..

 

Now you know tweak is so used ot hearing that!! LOl
