lil help! carb tune!?

hey guys-
lookin for someone to help me tune a road demon 525 carb in my 1st gen, im trying and getting nowhere...imanidiot and after i drove it over to my house, from a buddys house, where i got everything running, i tried to adjust my float levels, instead of starting with the idle adjustment, because it wouldnt idle...i know=dumb. but now i dont have any fuel in my primary float bowl...? and my secondary is slap full, and i just cant get it to even out, much less start now (no fuel obviously) but i was looking for someone to maybe come out to the house, as i would rather not tow it anywhere, but if it came down to it i could tow, either way i would pay you well for your time! im in marietta....please help!

I've never worked on a carburated rotary, but I can get a holley to make a V8 hum. If push comes to shove, I can come down and get you going. Before I do, you have to assure me that your engine is built right and you've got a other jet sizes laying around.

Jets control the flow of fuel from the bowls to the metering plate (or in your case, the main housing). Take your bowls off and you can see the jets screwed into the metering plate. They will have #s stamped into them; very small #s. That will tell you the jet size. Take those #s to a speed shop (sometimes Autozone or Advanced will have them) and buy one jet size bigger and one size smaller.

Does your carb have the sites on the bowls so you can see the fuel level in the bowl?

I've also got a manifold vacuum guage that will tell me what size power valve you need. I'm sure the stock one will work fine, but it will make sure its right for your application.

Yes, the vacuum of the manifold sucks fuel through the jets during idle and cruising. Changing the jet size will richen or lean out the mixture. The powervalve and accellerator pump keep the mixture right during accelleration and WOT.

Alright, just let me know if you need help. Buy me a tank of gas and I'll come down whenever. I make my own schedule for work, so anytime is fine.

sure, as long as we can schedule it to where i don't have to deal with Atlanta's rush hour traffic. Something like, show up at 3 and leave at 7 or show u at 7 and leave at 10 or something. Actually, the latter would be better. I just got the AC plumbing hooked up on my car but not the electric and it hasn't been charged. So, night driving would be great.
