theres a school out there im trying to attend for biomedical equipment repair. i had to transfer units to do it, and im just waiting on the transfer to finalize. the school is 41 weeks long. . . and in wichita falls, tx. . . about 2.5 hours NW of DFW.

 

cool! Thats a good field to get into! Would you be working for public sector after finishing it or do you have to work for DOD? Either case, they make **** LOAD! LOL!

 

public sector more than likely. the job market is amazing for that field. . . and several private companies offer benefits beyond conventional comprehension!!! im VERY excited. . . mostly because this is a career field that i feel is RIGHT down my alley, and it pays VERY well. i find it hard to say that i could go wrong.

 

Paul, I did this job for 4 years and loved the job and the money. Hope you get into it, as it does pay very well.

what made you decide on a change?

from what ive read/heard. . . a lot of major companies will "headhunt" straight out of the school. . . so, i should be able to make my pick.

 

The Baby came along and the fire department wanted to pay me full time. Since I worked 50-60 hours a week and traveled alot I figured I would change so I could my little girl grow up. It was well worth it even though I took a 1/2 pay cut.
