Tom, The question remains if we were to do it at ur place, I understand the neighbors are spread out a bit, but can they handle the amount of noise that many rotaries can create?

Just a thought.

Lets do it i Tn thats more of a central point between florida and north carolina and plus tail of the dragon is in N.C. so this one should be in Tennessee it could be in knoxville or something. Just a thought. Me and my roommate will go no matter where it is though.

savannah is too far away from most people, i say it should be in a more central location, where it will be closer to the majority

I like the sound of Apex, NC or somewhere in GA. Savanah is a little far, but not too far, but still... Let's get on it.

Maybe even in the mountians of NC? possibly Asheville? It's possible to hold a big thing at the Ag center, lots of autocross there.

Ok, so what are we wanting to do on this HUGE 7-7-07 meet!?!? We wanting to just stand around and chat? we wanting to drive several miles of twisty roads? Have a large BBQ? Are we wanting to show force of RX7s in a town? Possibly see if anyone can get us a track, but would it be drag or road course?

We've all said we want to get together, but now we have to decide what we want to do together. I think that will help determine where we do this. Also, how far are people willing to drive?

Im willing to go pretty much anywere in ga. This ALL really depends on how cool this thing will be, Im suggesting road atlanta (or whatever the track in atlanta is called, but not the lame oval track called atlanta speedway) But I still like the savannah Idea.

a track day would be badass, but really expensive. someone down there needs to get into contact with the track and find out if it is possible to do at a reasonable cost.

ok, i'm asking that those who are near a track to please check into us having a meet at the track. those who aren't near a track...well, just think of other ideas of what we all might want to do.

are current suggestions for places are Savannah, GA; Apex, NC; Asheville, NC; Deal's Gap; and a few tracks...would it be too much to ask to settle on a place within the next 2 wks so if anyone is traveling far and needs to get a hotel (or find a good bridge to sleep under) will have a chance to find one in the selected city?

How about Carolina Motor Sports Park in Kershaw, SC.

Here's the layout of the track.

As much as I want to go to CMP, I have to say that I agree with Dayton... and LT1. It makes a lot of sense since it's pretty central.
