Who all is off work on July 4th??

David, my boyfriend, is getting out of the Navy on Tuesday, July 4th. We are invited on base for the ceremony, and there will be a dinner afterwards there in Norfolk.

If we all just want to pile in the minivan, SUV, etc, we can do that, to save gas.

I'd really like to have a good turnout for this, guys. Plus I believe we'll actually get to be on the ship for the ceremony, not just on the pier.

Let me know who's interested. Transportation shouldn't be an issue, cuz we can all split gas costs if we ride together to get up there.

 

Anyone from the RRDI wanna go? I know I haven't had this posted for very long...

 

Ok... based on discussions at our meet on Saturday, the following people said they can/should/might be able to go.

Copy/paste... and add your name to the list. We'll pile in a couple of cars for the trip up there Tuesday morning, and of course, we'll be coming back that afternoon/evening.

If you want a ride to get there, lemme know. It seems there should be enough vehicle space for people who just wanna carpool up there.

 

hahaha. Somehow we have managed to rack up 6000+ posts in the one raleigh thread. I thinkt hat counts for good communication HA! I wont be able to make it. The woman has convinced me to go to the fairgrounds during the day and then we're off to a BBQ/pool party/blow crap up fest afterwards

Diane called around 1:30 this afternoon to say that she'd gone to lunch and when she got in her car it wouldn't start. From what she said its either the starter or battery. I'll be trouble shooting that this afternoon and trying to find something to fix it. I don't know if I'll get it running or not.

Sorry. We were gonna take the Acura up to Norfolk but its broke now!

 

Ahhhh! He proposed!! No wonder he wanted everyone there.
