OK... posting on here, too... cuz I'm just that excited...

Ok... wow... so yesterday, on July 4th... my boyfriend, David, officially got out of the Navy. My family, and some close friends all went up to the Naval Base in Norfolk for the ceremony. We were all standing on the pier, and he was announced off the ship, and they rang the bell, announcing his departure.

When he walked down the steps, he walked up to me... in FULL "Dress Whites," and thanked everyone for being there for the event. Then he turned to me, pulled out the ring, and got on one knee and proposed... right there... in front of everyone!!!

Of course, I squealed... and cried... and said YES!



Our Independence Day was a great change from one life to a new one.

Oh... and the ring is gorgeous! I still can't believe it! We're gonna raise such beautiful CARS together!

hehe, thats GREAT!!! i wonder how nervous he was. . . ive done some wild things in my wife. . . things that got A LOT of attention, but when i proposed to my wife. . . i thought i was gonna have a heart attack!!!!

Yeah... he says he was a nervous wreck all morning. He seemed uneasy when I saw him that morning before he left us to go change into his uniform... but I thought it was just because he was nervous about getting out.

 

Thats a much better proposal than my poor wife got.

I hid her ring in my toolbox and as if she already knew she quizzed me what I had been upto that day. Not being a good liar I did not cover my tracks well so she got suspicious and kept firing holes in my story so I had to scuttle my original plan.
