Im having a big issue with the 7 and i really need help!

Hey guys. For the past few months my car hasnt been starting easily. I'm pretty sure its flooding but I'm not sure. 2 days ago it got flooded after driving to a friends house and I had to get it towed home. So I worked on it and deflooded it which took 3 attempts before it finally started. The past couple days there hasn't been a problem. But again this morning on my birthday of course it tried to start and didn't. Then it flooded again. This is getting me in trouble for being late to work and school and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions guys? If I cant fix this I might have to get rid of her! Please help guys!

Can you post a vid of what it is doing? I would suggest installing a fuel cut switch. I have one on mine and it's NEVER flooded. You simply turn it over a couple times with the fuel pump turned off then hit the switch to on and it fires right up. Then to turn it off you hit the switch and it sucks all the remaining fuel in the system then dies.

Well last night I got me a Rtek 2.1 ECU with the PDA, two 740cc and two 1000cc
injectors, and a Turbo xs BOV. So getting a good start on the new motor. Now
all I need is some seals for assembly. Thanks Anthony. Good luck with the M3.

Hey Cory. Any updates on yours?

BTW, I have been playing around with blowthough MAF again with some really good results!!!! I upped the fuel pressure a tad and under a 15psi pull 1rst through 3rd the AFRs are staying in the high 10s. I do not see any reason not to play around with higher boost. The best part is the turbo is loving it now, not having the MAF right in front of it. I moved the MAF between the intercooler and the throttle body inlet tube.

The car drives so smooth now it's rediculus. And thanks to Andre for trading me the spare LSD rear end he had for the 16k mile trans that I wasn't ever going to use. I can now hear myself think without the God awful roaring coming from the tired rear end

No problem man, nice meetin up with ya again. The M3 has joined the family. It's pretty dang quick for being practically stock (intake, exhaust mods). I think my 7 could have still taken it for sure, at least while it's still n/a.

Lookin pretty good Manny.

I have been having this wierd little off idle dead spot in the throttle. Couldn't never figure it out untill tonight. I said screw it. I modded the FD throttle body to accept the S4 TPS. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since Josh has been letting me play with the RTEK 2.1 (setting up the software and putting a base tune on it for him) I had been noticing the TPS was acting screwy with the Logging feature in the RTEK.

On a more serious note:
Since none of you guys seem to give a flip about the meets anymore, I am giving up on the meets and you guys. So far the only other person that has tried to keep things a float has been Josh. If you guys want to do something about it, then I suggest you guys try actually caring. Untill then..........I'm out............

On your serious note, I know im not the most loyal meet goer and you guys probably dont give **** about what I say. I know its probably frustrating but you have to realize its hard right now people dont have the money to drive 45 min. Or more one way, its easy for you bc you live 10 min away. Also your knowledge base on these cars are phenominal and other peoples are also, so I like to come for some info when I have questions. So getting to the point maybe we should move the meet around, start posting about two weeks before hand where it will be and what time. Anyway just a sugestion, and my two cents worth.

I'd be all for that since I'm in VA now, I say we plan an event every month or every other month to attend. Maybe another photoshoot like we did a couple years ago or drive through the mtns. just something different that the majority can agree on.

And ill makesure to be there, so lets get a pool of who can be somewhere and when, lets start with the tradition, second sunday of november. We would like your input, so everybody put up your ideas.

the reason we met in mooresville (as was explained to me when i first began to attend the meets) was that it was about halfway point from southern charlotte/south carolina and northern north carolina on this end. and we had people coming from both ends about the same amount.

i don't think we have many people coming from charlotte anymore. Moving the meet to saturdays kinda put me in a bind being that i don't get off work til 5pm at the earliest and like last time i went by the time i got there it was only me, josh, and sam and they were saying "bye." so its disappointing that only when the threat of the meet ending is when everyone wants to pitch in ideas.

i know i don't have much room to talk since i haven't been very loyal myself, but you get burned out after a while of doing the same thing and it became more about showing off to see who has the most powerful engine out of us trying to outrun each other, and less about just driving around some curves and enjoying our cars.

all i'm saying is cold weather is coming, if we're gonna have a grill out or mountain run, we better all come with an answer quick
