DJ. That turbo will not clear the lower intake without spacing it out about an inch. The T04E has a much larger compressor than the stock turbo. No big deal, we can make you a spacer.

well...... after a long pass couple of day's, my replacement rotary hauler the 1986 B2000, has been put to rest. The ol' gal lived a full life, she died way before her time. That's what happens when you let a dumb *** borrow your truck................ oh well I guess she's getting a rotary this weekend, what a bumber. LOL I hate to see such a great running piston engine go..... but a bridge port is so much more fun anywayz.

So I take it long that I shouldn't have to replace any gaskets and is that spacer still needed? Also my exhaust should bolt right up to the downpipe?

well... after a loooooooooooong day of working on the B2000, this is what i have so far

I had to bend the drag-link down and foward to clear the oil pan. the only thing left is to finnish my engin mounts, wiring and fuel. if all else fails, she should be together by next weekend. It's not as easy as it may look. I didnt wanna cut a hole in the floor for the rx7 tranny's location, so I took my new S5 tranny, removed the tail shaft, swapped the shifter fork fingers and shifter shaft from the truck. It's still blows my mind that the only diffrence is the bellhousing and tail shaft. Mazda didnt like changing things too often. So the setup I have now, allows me to use the stock shifter location, stock drive shaft and stock crossmember without modding. the engine mounts are the only custom job I have to do now that thw steering is out of the way. what a day. I have gotten an email from dan, and he seems to think that my setup will be what they call a
"Tire fryer" . He mentioned that the stock 6 port in an S5 have a hard enuf time taking off without blistering the tires off due to the lack of weight in the rear of the vehicle. Sounds fun enuf to me. More pictures will come, batteries died in the camera after I took the engine picture. After that, I will include a sticky on the swap for the entire rx7 community can see what it takes to do this swap. Hell I may even start to produce a 12A mount after all is said and done. We shall see....

she's comming along. I have some plate steel and square tubing comming today so I can engineer engine mounts. The wiring is the easy part, just trying to get the hardware intact. its funny how the lil bridgeport looks so small in the truck. you have to look down to see it. lol but its going to be an awsome setup with all the tourque and HP that I will ever need. now if I can keep tires on it........... Anthony, wanna bring your 7 down to mooresville for a test and tune day after It's done? maybe DJ as well if your up to it
