Dave should let Josh use it to port his irons. and Dave should also call Josh cause he has some valuable info for him.

Dave is buying a variable speed porting tool with bits and stuff. It has a nice flexable hose and a foot pedal to control air speed/drill speed

140 bucks for the entire shootin match. Should have it in a couple more weeks.

That manifold looks like it chokes down the primary runners pretty bad. Could be the angle of the pic.
Dave is awesome. So awesome, he got the 3000th post!

EDIT: Also, I was playing around with an idea like that , but with 2 45DCOE's. Looking back, I would rather run 3 ITB's, 1 primary, 2 secondaries. Just seems like a lot of carb for primaries. I got some sketches of a progressive slide throttle linkage for twin IDA's kinda like a HUGE holly 4 barrel, but with mroe awesome.

Well, since Tim is back with us, I still haven't got an answer about possibly swiping one of his housings. Give me a shot at cracking that engine apart Tim. I can usually have one apart in about 15 minutes

Started cleaning up the S4 engine at the shop today. Bead blasted the front iron and housing. Lapped the front housing surface once. Doing it again tomorrow. Then doing the housings real lightly.

I'll snap some pics if I remember the camera. I am also cutting out the exhaust diffuser sometime in the next couple days i hope. If anyone wants to have me lapp there irons let me know. It will only take me a couple days on my down time at work. Or I can bring my stone home with me one day.

20 bucks to do all irons and housings. 40 and I'll bead blast them all as well. ( I am only charging because my work makes me pay them back for using "their" glass bead on my stuff And the lapping compound goes quickly

Sweet deal Dave. I plan on braking the 12A down in the Turbo FB this winter. I'm going to street port it and I hope that all I'll need is a soft seal kit. I would like to see the lapped irons you did. Bryan showed me an iron that he had lapped. Looks like new after that.

Hey Sam, It won't look like they do when you get it back from Mazdatrix, But it is better than leaving it be and doing nothing at all. That said, I need to get new paper for my stone. It has been used alot at the shop and is worn down in the center. Making it more work slinging at 30 pound iron around My shoulders felt like jello afterwards..

I snapped a couple pics today of what it looks like after 2 quick (5 minutes) passes. Almost all the grooves on the sides are almost gone. One side was pretty bad, but within spec.

can you drop what off Monday? The templates? Irons?etc.. I don't have my porting tools yet. And it may be a few more weeks before I get them. And then , when I port mine, That will be the first porting I have done.

Are we going to see it in person this weekend? Josh, I took the S4 rotors and housings up to Bryan and let him look at them. The rotors can be saved. The housing on the other hand..........Let's just say there not useable. Stu, thanks for picking up the gaskets for me. Hopefully I can get the bridgeport back together this weekend.

Speaking on this weekend. Remember we dicided to "rain check" the meet last Sunday. Is everyone up for doing it this coming Sunday?

Rotors, E-shaft, irons, intake, can be reused. If you don't want that stuff, I can keep what's salvagable for maybe a future project

How many miles on the S5?

I have been thinking of getting an S5 motor and putting it in the 7 or something after I burn through my many 12a parts.
