new rx7 guy in huntsville

hey guys,

you all have a new rx7 owner in huntsville. His info is:

name - Matt McConkey
email - matt_mcconkey@yahoo.com

He stopped by my house and I gave him some parts he needed to get his FC up and running.
I told him I would post this info on him:

would someone hit him up and get him linked up with your meets?

I need to get down to holla at you all soon myself.
Thanks
Chad

Most people would not break up a pair of lights especially ones as expensive and hard to come by as 99 spec.

Hey Chad. Man, the rotary scene here is pretty dismal. Not even much activity with the TVRX8 people. I have tried to shoot up that way to hang with you guys, but it's impossible to make Thursday meets unless I'm off work the following day.

Will probably pass. I've got so much to do around the house plus car has been running pretty crappy. I need to adjust the fuel pressure and change plugs to see if things improve.

I'm probably down for the rest of the year. Differential exploded at the track Sunday, but I did manage a new best of 7.96 @ 88.95 w/ 1.78 60ft.

that sucks HDP. i bought a 89 GTU from Mobile last months in hopes for a running engine, it cranks, but i think fuel pump is bad. goen to see if i can get it fired up and drop it into my 88 TII and drive it as is till i have the main engine done.

If I remember right early 12a 82 and under had one size, all 83 to 91 na's had another size, then the turbos 13bs had a larger size.

backed up at work

Sorry I havent been around much. Been super swamped at work and havent been able to even return phone calls. Don is your ring and pinion ok? Did you just smash the diff or the whole carrier? I think I still have a extra s4 clutch type somewhere. John (armymech) the turbo clutches are bigger. Violent gravy, the s5 and s4's have way different ecu plugs. You will have to switch the chassis side plug to the s5 to get it fired up and the pins are different so you cant just depin which sucks.

Sorry, for now on we need proof of ownership for all parts being sold.... That story has hit ever forum related to rx7's or V8 swap's.

On a serious note. Don does need a case and if you have a 87-89 TII LSD he may be interested also. Or do you have any source for a 8.8 cobra IRS??

The cobra is looking like $600 to $700 but with crossmember and axles I think. Don doesnt need anything but the Differential case and internals right? I have a 88 TII clutch type that I bought as back up for my 90 viscous that Don could use and replace at a later date if need be. It only has 90k on it. I wont need it for a while I am very sure. At least a couple of months or so plus at my going rate. I have also heard more drama stories over all that lacy springs stuff. That seems like one hell of a mess out there which ever way you look at it.

Thanks Dustin, but when I replace this diff, I want it to be a one time deal. I would need to purchase one that I can permanently install.

You can leave that one in and if another tii comes available when you have the finances just pick that up and I will take that one. No need in dropping that diff back out after install. Let me know
