Huntsville Get Together

Let's try this again. I think we should try to meet up at least once a month if not more frequent. Sk8world and I met up last Wednesday night at the HSV Racing gathering and there were at least 30 cars (mostly V-8's) that showed. They meet up the First Wednesday of every month at the Dairy Queen/Texaco on Hwy 72W near Madison. I'm sure next month when the weather warms a bit, the number of cars that show will probably double. Anyone that is into the local car scene will probably be there. Also, how about doing the lunch or dinner thing. What do you guys think? Let's try to keep this going this time... in a positive way.

sounds good.. I am in for the DQ thing every month. Atleast that way we can help out in growing that meet. Dinner or lunch is always hard for me to make since my schedule changes week to week.

On another note I hear that red FD that was for sale with the bad motor is going to put his brothers motor and keep it and his brother is thinking of doing a LS1 swap in the other..

I will have my 1979 RX-7 GTU IMSA race car on display Saturday Mar 12 at the Twickenham Auto Club car show, at the Rock parking lot, on South Mem. Parkway, just south of Govenors drive. I believe the show hours are 8am - 3pm.

Don, Dick just lives there in the spring. He resides in WI. You remember him / cars from last RR... Yellow 3 rotor and White SIngle turbo car (kinda high in the back)... Both are very nice cars... I heard he had Steve or Cam detune it a bit because it was to powerful for him!!

Hey Dick! I talked with you last year about getting together with us. (You e-mailed me about Mark) We have a DEALS GAP event in April you should go with us over...?? Good to see you on here!

I am sure it looks even better with those new wheels!!! I can say of the 3 20b's that came last year yours was by far the best looking! As far as the detuning goes that was just a rumor I heard!

Anyone looking for a new reman? Herblenny is selling one at a VERY good price...

We have many 7's around but never have had a huge turn out to any of our meets in Huntsville. Usually the meets in B-ham turn out pretty big. If you want to swing by Huntsville I am sure we could get a meet set up. Do prefer auto cross or drag racing? If either I will let you know of the next event. I have a extra set of drag radials if you drive over and want to hit the track. There are many quick mustangs, supras and vettes that show up.. Or we could just set up a dinner/ hang out..

Cool! That sounds like a plan. We haven't had much luck getting everyone together at the same time, but hopefully that will change once the weather improves.

I think you and I are the only ones going from Huntsville. We could leave about 2 and arrive in Chattanooga about 4:30 (EST) to meet the others. We can meet at the Books-a-Million parking lot on the corner of Memorial Pkwy and University Dr.

OK, Saturday is my birthday but I'll be celebrating it Sunday. I'm meeting some friends at Crossroads about 7 so if any of you guys want to swing by come on down. BTW, I won't be in my 7... down as of this morning getting a complete brake make-over.

Thanks Mike. I will probably need the pump next week sometime (if the weather is good). I bought 3 liters of that ATE super blue, so I should have enough. I started on the brakes today and managed to install the ss clutch hose, front ss hoses and front x-drilled rotors. While under the car, I found my passenger lower control arm was loose . I could actually move it in and out a few millimeters by hand. That's probably why my car wanders all over the road so bad. It must have been those fools at NTB when they did my alignment. But anyway, the forecast calls for rain tomorrow, so I'll try to do some more Sunday.
