Since there are 2 BAMs in Huntsville, you could use mapquest and plug in Toys R Us to get directions to the one we're meeting at.
Yea, praxis1301 sent me the directions via PM but like I told him, I'm following my wife in the morning to my mom's to drop the kids off and then my wife and I will be heading that way. It'll take me a good hour from mom's so I probably won't get there before you guys leave anyway. Either way, I'll for sure see you in Chatt.

For everyone who missed this TOOOOOOO BAD. It was GREAT. I and everyone else had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and the ice tea was good too. I managed to do the tail 4 times and never once got a ticket. One close call but an inch is as good as a mile. The old 7 with 91K on HER did the entire event without one single problem. No AAA this trip.

We need to keep things going... How about a monthly meet? Maybe we can get in with the 8 owners as well.

I too had a blast. I just have to put my catback exhaust on today (later) and fire it up (fingers xed). If all goes well I will be in need of a tune asap so Doc-1 and myself will be getting something in the works.

How did I miss meeting you Doc? I spent a lot of time talking with Mike, a little with Don but I never even met you. Oh well, I hope to get to meet up with you guys somein H'ville, as well as make a drive every once and a while to B'ham to hang with Phil and them. You're right though, this past weekend was great!

Tune

I am still trying to find time to finish my seven and I will be in for a tune on power fc with steve. Static x has a great dyno. I don't know if they rent out the dyno though. I will check soon. That is the only dyno in the area that I would use though.

Dustin,

What kind of dyno is it?

Brad or Mike, Let me know if there is any event in Huntsville.. I'll come up there and hang out with you guys!

I'm sure you guys aren't into drift.. Me neither.. But I was invited to Road ATL and put my car under Mazda tent. We could hang out in ATL for Formula Drift

Scroll down for dyno info.

Counting Dustin thats 3 cars here in Huntsville. I know of 2-4 in Middle TN who may be in also.

Brad, are you of need yet? Or going to be? I think we should have plenty to cover a tune. Now for a tuner and date?????

dyno

I would love to go to atl but I really need to put my seven back together and get her tuned. I would love to have a nice huntsville get together especially with my 7 running and tuned. If Steve can come then I will be able to get my car tuned on a nice dyno. Those guys at static x have a killer dyno but don't know anything about tuning.

LOL~ You got me!

Hey, that dyno is the one I been telling you about Mike! Good to know there is a Dyno Dynamics dyno in AL..

Looks like they would help you tune for $120 an hour! Thats not bad if that includes dyno time! I might bring my car up there and use their dyno! With their dyno, you could pretty much tune it yourself!!

Mike - I don't think I need a tune yet....not really a need I guess.

Phil - Well, we at least need to get together and eat somewhere in H'ville one night like last time. Like I said, I like to eat.

I don't mind watching drifting but I definitely don't want to spend the money it takes to slide around curves because it cost enough to keep'em going straight! But I would like to try and attend a few events this year. But as some of you know I'm about to drop about 2k into my car and I'm going to FL next week and I just bought one of those DRIVE YOU STUPID *** CRAZY gym sets for my two boys for the backyard so my funds mightbe stretched for a couple of months for attending some of the far away events. But keep me posted.

What did you spend 2k on? If you dont mind me asking..
And even if you just want to hang out thats cool or you can always just set it on the dyno to see were you are at. Thats what I am going to do with my Porsche. So for now on when ever I do a mod I can see the outcome.

I might set it on the dyno just for kicks. Anyway, I haven't spent the 2k yet, I've got it to spend. So I'm mostly doing exterior stuff because I just don't want to add performance parts piece by piece. I know there is a theory on this Forum about how you need to add parts piece by piece because one part affects another and you need to tune accordingly but I had a pretty good conversation with SPOautos (Stephen) about how he thinks that if someone would just say that they want their FD to be fast and just do all the "fast" parts at once then they might actually come out better. Doesn't mean you have to run it fast but have the option and set your boost controller back to 10psi if you don't want to worry about bowing stuff up but your FD is still technically, fast. Given that there seems to be some reason that FD owners do things in stages and still blow motors.

So, given the mileage on my car I think I'll be spending most of the 2k on exterior stuff...scoot hood, maybe EVO-Rs, mudguards, maybe not the EVO-Rs and 99 Spec Wing. I don't know, but I do know that I am going to get a scoot hood. So that plus paint will be close to 1k. I gotta lot of thinking to do on the rest.

How about 99 front and 99 rear spoiler?? To be honest, good clean FD look as good as modified FDs w/ ton of body stuff. I like Rich's Red FD. 2k will just about do it and give you more newer style look.

Also, we now have a new forum for alabama guys.

I am not sure I have scene a scoot hood on a stock bodied 7! Anyone have pics? I have knocked that idea around for awhile but never went through on it..

I also agree with Stephen on doing all at once will save you money but nobody seems to have that kind of extra cash laying around atleast I did not. I know I would have never did it at once (4K turbo kit, 1k Intercooler, 1k pfc and datalogic, 1k fuel upgrade, 3k streetported motor and rebuilt, bov and ic piping another 300-400, $500 for clutch to hold that power) thats over 10k! My wife would burn me at the stake if she knew...

Mike, Pic below....Oh, I wouldn't be able to do 10k all at once either..or if I could my wife definitely wouldn't go for it. Anyway, when I get the exterior the way I want it I'll just start buying parts at about 1k to 2k at a time and stock'em in my garage until I feel I'm ready to throw everything in.

Trust me I know, telling the wife that I'm spending 2k every few months is way better than saying, "Well honey, I'm gonna go to the bank and get 10k to dump into the FD!" Her response, "Make sure you have them put a good mattress in it cause that's where you'll be sleeping!"

Phil, I don't know if I want to do the 99 spec front yet. I mean I love'em but that will probably be the last exterior piece I do. Oh, and I made a post or two at MRCCAL.com. I'll be posting there some too.

They are a whole lot better now, when were you there that they didn't know tuning. Mainly one guy was "running" the shop, and he has been let go...

Well I just ordered the EVO-R headlight kit, and downpipe/midpipe combo from RX7store. I'm not going to install the midpipe yet as I don't want to fool with porting the wastegate right now. So I'll stick the midpipe in the garage and wait til later. I'm gonna throw the DP on so I still don't think I'll need a tune but I might possibly hit the dyno for kicks. I also got a set of front and rear mudguards headed my way.

Oh, I think I've made up my mind and I'm going to be ordering the FEED replica front bumper and sideskirts in the next week or two. Just FYI.

^Brad you might can adjust the fuel alittle bit and get some more power. I think the stock map on the PFC runs fairly rich.

Put the MP and DP on. You do not need to port your wastegate. I have heard of a few people having boost creep without the porting but usually not. I ran that way for many-many years with over 100 passes at the track. Just get a boost control and you will be fine.
