Historic RX-7 Race Cars at the Mitty

This is sort of a re-post but Mazda is sponsoring The Classic Motorsports Mitty at Road Atlanta and Mazda is bringing 6 very important Mazda race cars to race.

Meet the people that made the RX-7 the most dominant car to ever enter an IMSA race: Jim Downing, Walt Borhen, Robert Davis, John Doonan, Jim Busby, Rick Nuke, Dennis Spencer and more!

The organizers are shooting for 1000 Japanese sports cars in the infield and are hoping 250 of them are rotary powered vehicles.

here is a link to a post in the 1st generation section and more details can be found at www.TheMitty.com.

Buy your tickets in advance and SAVE!

Hurry, prices go up April 14th

It is at Road Atlanta, just north of Atlanta off of I-85 North at exit 129.

wmac... How do we sign up for a corral? And, can we do the parade lap in our RX-7s?

All you have to do is buy an infield parking pass to do a parade lap. They will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can see the schedule here.

If you have a club and you all want to park together in the "Sports Cars Of Japan" section, send me an e-mail at Bill@ClassicMotorsports.net to let me know how many people you will have.

We will also have MINI Coopers to autocross FREE on Saturday courtesy of KUMHO Tires and Lotus Elises to autocross FREE on Sunday courtesy of Lotus and The Tire Rack.

Check out www.TheMitty.com for details. Tickets are discounted if you buy them in advance at TheMitty.com.
