Fuel problem maybe?
The starter-motor draws alot from the battery. I would think if the battery was bad the car would crank poorly. And if it starts, an u have to mess with the gas pedel to keep it runing, I would think that u have a Idle problem. And/or a TPS problem.
And... These cars tend to flood if u don't warm them up befor u shut them down.
If that happens... pull the EGI fuse, then crank it a couple times, put EGI fuse back in then try to start it. This process might need to be repeated.
I started an rx7 for sale in a used car lot once. It would start but it had no power, there was a lot of miles on it, the seals might have been going/gone.
Welcome to the interesting life of owning a RX7.
A problem with my car is, my alternator belt keeps getting loose.
Later.

Sounds like a dead motor symptom to me. I really hope that's not what it is though.
Ken, good to see you posting on the forums. Berry and I do miss the Charleston crew and the SC RX-7 club as well. Things in Cali just aren't like they were back there.

nieto and i checked it out, motor sounds good, it is most likely an electrical prob, it seems to start almost as soon as the cold start system would cut off. really cant diagnose it without taking stuff apart.
