Proposed Agenda for 2005
April 24th, 2005 – Planning Meet
Meet Time: 2PM
Meet Location: Dave & Busters Parking Lot at Hwy400/Hwy7 (From Hwy 400 north, exit Hwy 7 East, Dave and Busters is less than 1/2km on the south side)

May 21st & 22nd, 2005 - Ottawa Mazda Meet/Cruise
MAY 21st: show and shine in the Corel Center parking lot on May 21st at 2pm. Followed by BBQ.
MAY 22nd: Everyone is invited to the Cumberland/Masson ferry at 9am for a huge cruise in Quebec through some of the nicest roads you'll ever see.

June 2005 - Meet at Mazda Headquarters in Richmond Hill, ON.
Details: TBA

July 16th & 17th, 2005 Bruce/Grey County Cruise and Grand Bend CSCS Event
July 16th: Cruise in and round Bruce County ending in Kincardine for a BBQ.
Hotel discount TBA.
July 17th: Cruise from Kincardine to Grand Bend CSCS Racing Event.
Event discount TBA.

August 2005 – Niagara Meet

September 2005 – Meeting of the Mazdas
Details TBA by Protégé Club.
End of season awards to be given at this meet for the following:
1. Fastest club car (Drag slips must be submitted)
2. Car with most bling.
3. Best 1st gen Rx7
4. Best 2nd gen Rx7
5. Best 3rd gen Rx8
6. Best Rx8
7. Most innovative car
8. Most active member
9. Mr. or Ms. Congeniality

This is only a proposal and therefore subject to change by the planning committee. If you would like to see additions to the schedule feel free to voice your opinion. Once the planning committee is formed they will contact the relevant parties to help with the events in anyway they can.
We will leave the more local impromptu meetings to the various regions to organize as we are too spread apart to have only one venue for bi-weekly meets. But it would be great to see leaders emerge in the various regions to organize pub, poker, go-kart nights etc. I will make efforts to do this in the GTA.
All dates will be confirmed ASAP. It should be a great summer.

Nismo before you jack my thread, just get group rates for 5 rooms, 10 rooms etc. It is a bit early for people to commit but personally I am really looking forward to the Bruce Meet. A cruise along Lake Huron should be great and racing to top it off is a recipe for a great weekend.

Who do I talk to about this meet since I have not heard of it? Also do you think that Quebec maybe spreading our wings just a tad too far? I know the Ottawa meet runs through Quebec but it is still an Ontario Meet.

Just to add to this awesome idea. If someone here have contacts inside mazda HQ and would suggest having a garage sale of parts to move items out of their inventory.
Just imagine OEM parts at clearance prices....

I Try to make it as late into Sept. as possible so it's not too warm and not too cold. As well as it's the best chance to not get rained on. Last year was Sat Sept. 25th. This year looks like it will be Sat. Sept 24th. Following the cruise there will be a nice BBQ and there are pleanty of lakes and nice scenes. Some footage from the 509 cuise can be seen in the 2004 RX vid Coldfire and myself put together.

i have to tip my hat off to lawerspirit,I think what he's trying to peice together rocks, all i ask is that you keep up with the photo sessions as the meet in the t-dot was the first time i've seen or heard of it, and the pics i've seen kicked *** way to go lawerspirit look forward to enjoying your further meets man.
p.s need cruise man that makes a meet i know that there is limited roads in your area but we could map out a nice route

I do not think if the 509 Cruise will work with a massive amount of cars, a la Ottawa Meet.
After the fiasco we had with just 5 cars, I cannot imagine it going well with 20 or more cars.

over the posted speedlimit on the way there we probably wouldn't have had such a great welcome wagon when we got to Kaladar
