good or bad compression?

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=598192

what do you guys think? the shop it was built at has a pretty good rep, but the only thing that i think is weird is the compression. its just been rebuilt but it only has 87/85 compression. he makes it seem like when the motor gets broken in the compression will be higher , which doesnt make a whole alotta since to me but then again i dont know to much about rotaries. if you guys can give me your in put that would be great.

thanks in advance!

Kabooski is a well known member I doubt he would BS you, still higher comp after engine gets broken in does sound fishy. Getting a backup motor??? What about that radiator???

compression will be low after a rebuild. Kabooski is the man. You'll be fine.

no Kabooski is correct after the motor gets broken in a full lets say 1500 miles properly broken in should be higher than 90 you should be good.... ummmm and not bashing or anything but what does a radiator have anything to do with compression?

yeah im going to get a extra one when my motor goes.......... which im thinkin might happen at the next drift event but who knows haha. and as far the the heating issue, that has been solved by jared aka leather when he showed me this air scoop for the radiator. its for a miata, so there was some fab work, but fixxed all my overheating issues.......... so far that is haha
