Early February 09 meet suggestion
Early February 09 meet suggestion
Hey. I know January's meet has not even occurred yet, but this one will take a little planning.
February's meet is due to be in Columbia.
So I am looking to see what interest there is on both sides, for a co-meet with the local Midlands British Car Club.
They normally meet once a month for breakfast.
I was already suggesting to them meeting together, but I was thinking maybe lunch instead to allow everyone to get into town.
In their ranks are normally: Jags, MGBs, Austin Heeley's, Alpines, Triumphs, Mini Coopers, and a Spitfire occasionally.
No rush, obviously, any interest please let me know.

Most discussion of this has occurred over on the other board. Here's the update so far.
First Saturday of February, the 7th. 9am at the Ryan's on Harbison on Bower Parkway. It's the same road as the Columbiana Grande Theaters. Breakfast buffet. I will later in the month need to know an estimate on numbers so I can give them a heads up for seating.
What any one wants to do after breakfast is up for suggestions.

Due to lack of interest, neither Reese or I will be going. So this specific meet is cancelled. Someone else is welcome to plan something. We will be out the 7th with the Rx7s in Charlotte hopefully. The two or three that were free and interested...

Maybe so, but the meets lately have been crap for attendance anyway. Considering the fact that hardly anyone steps up to start them in the first place, at least a thread WAS made.
How about next time, one of you guys start it? Sorry for the attitude, but this state sucks as far as getting people together. It used to be a little better when Ren and I started it the first time, but it's never been anything like Atlanta, NorCal, Ohio, etc.

oh well. at this point realy the only meet s i would go to are lowcountry and upstate meets. i know personally i will be less and less active cause i'm focusing on the cheaper/easyer to moddify volvos
well, as soon as i get my enigne put back together id like to go to a meet, and my buddy brian is racing with me to get his car done as well, and cory with the fd will be down on the 16th. so i guess us 3 will have a meet at my house.
Whose interested in having the meet at the Sand Rally this Saturday? One hour northeast of Columbia.

Check out the video.
PS. There is an Autocross on Sunday in Summerville and a Auto-X school for Novices on Saturday.
PSS. Koyo needs to layoff 110 people in Orangeburg and Blythewood so if anybody has connections for a mechanical engineer that would be great.
