drift meet in mrytle beach 2/17

anyone going? me and some friends will be going down to i think its called mrytle beach motor speedway, could be wrong, but its this saturday if anyone's intrested! gimme a call if you are and we'll all ride together. sponsered drift competition, missed the last one, turbo 350z's, skylines and what not, cant wait.

Saturday February 17, 2007 10am til Dusk

$50.00 Drifters, $25.00 Drag Racers , and $10.00 Spectators. Children 12 and under are FREE

Gates open at 8:00am.
Tech and regsitration must be complete by 9:30am
MANDATORY drivers meeting 9:45am til 10:00am. Followed by a course walk. DONT BE LATE IF YOU PLAN ON DRIVING

First car rolls following the completion of coursewalk.

Those of you who have joined us before know how we do it, but those that havent been here.. this is what you missed

*Tandem Permitted on course

*Oval Bank drifting on our 5/8 mile 15* banking (must meet safety spec)

*Mini-comp with cash prize purse for top 3 drivers

*RUNS RUNS RUNS..bring plenty of tires. Air compressor on site.

Normal technical inspection will be completed before driver is certified to participate.

*battery tie down
*no loose or hanging wires
*no leaks
*wheel bearings intact
*all lug studs intact, no broken studs
*minimum 3 point seatbelt or harness
*must have helmet

No prepay is required for this event, but please go to http://www.myrtlebeachspeedway.com and print the entry form and complete it to bring with you. This will help us greatly in speeding up registration and getting you on the track sooner. You can also fax the entry form to Bill Hennecy at Myrtle Beach Speedway.

Too bad that the "One day of the year event" known as "Sand Blast Rally" will be happening that day too.

Ill have to take a rain check.

ah come on guys, me and my buds are goin, it would kinda be cool to me if some more rotary guys would join in, besides i see a few 7's around here every now and then, but no waves, no flash of the lights, where's the love?!

oh bradenscreed, thats a weekly event. its also called like "slydefest" or something too. one guy from chas used to do it every now and then in a 1st gen

im up for a meet there, but just not this weekend. i think this one is different from the sunday slydefest things. they have contests every once in a while, the slydefests are more like free-for-all, but still costs like $20 or something
