I've never met him, but I can tell from what he's written that he's one of the most knowledgeable people on this forum. If you're a newbie, or even someone with a moderate amount of knowledge, his posts are among those you should pay attention to. And he'll often provide links or photos with his posts which can be very helpful.

There are a few others who are at, or close to, his level. You've got to learn to separate the wheat from the chaff on this forum.

He was posting to publicly let everyone know about what a swell and smart guy Dale is. PMs would kind of defeat the purpose, so your suggestion is silly. I do think that this thread belongs in the good guy/bad guy or regional section however.......

A good many of the Atlanta RX-7 owners got to meet Dale when we did the poker run a few years ago that started at Jim Downing's 3 and 4 rotor race shop. Him and a couple of friends drove all the way up to partake of the festivities. I agree, great and knowledgable guy.

Which poker run? I attended one a few years ago but I don't remember meeting him. Was it the one that you didn't show up to?

Yep, it was the first one a couple years before that one. The last poker run I got a flat tire or atleast noticed it when I was coming on to I-75 near Cartersville and didn't have a spare so I had to get a tow truck.
