The time is growing near and I haven't seen anyone making plans for us to meet somewhere in M'boro. Where is a good place for us to get together for the drive down to chattanooga?

 

Don't forget, we'll be meeting in Chattanooga for lunch and depart around 1:30PM EST (Don't forget about the time change).

The spot from last time was fine, the Conoco? gas station at exit 81b is the last real exit for a while and the last one in murfreesboro... it also doesn't hurt that I live about a minute from there now.

 

Sounds good to me! I'm bringing a few friends so, I'll have a MR2 tailing me.

I'm guessing we will need to head out at about 8:30-9:00ish CST to make it by 12:00 EST. So we should meet there 8:00ish CST?

Errr... I obviously didn't pay enough attention. So We really only need to make it outta here by like 10:00-10:30ish CST. Otherwise we are gonna have some extra time to kill in Chattanooga.... unless we have to ditch a car somewhere again *knocks on wood*.

 

DJ goes to chattanooga alot, so relying on him knowing distances and such, I was just going by his calculations....

LOL... if another one bites the dust this year it will probably be mine! It used to take me about an hour and 15 minutes to make it to chattanooga from hermitage so, I was guessing about 2 hours or less from Murfreesboro. Here are direction from the middle of Murfreesboro:

Drive: 111 mi (about 1 hour 51 mins)

1. Head south on S Spring St toward E Vine St 272 ft
2. Turn right at E Vine St 371 ft
3. Turn left at S Church St 2.4 mi 7 mins
4. Turn left to merge onto I-24 E Passing through Georgia Entering Tennessee 104 mi 1 hour 37 mins
...
5. Take exit 185B to merge onto I-75 N toward Knoxville 2.9 mi 3 mins
6. Take exit 4 to merge onto TN-153 N toward Airport/Chickamauga Dam 0.8 mi 1 min
7. Take exit 1 for Lee Hwy/US-11/US-64 0.2 mi
8. Turn right at Lee Hwy 0.7 mi 1 min

Arrive 6734 Lee Hwy, Chattanooga, TN

Hey Guys, this is Nathaniel down in Manchester. My GSL-SE TII is getting a new Microtech Lt10s so it won't be ready for Deal's Gap, but I still plan on coming. I will either bring my Miata or my dad's supercharged MR2. Where are most of you guys staying when at the gap?

 

I don't want to butt in, but if you leave at 8CST (9EST) you will get to Ryans at 11 AM EST.

No worries, we're meeting at 8:00 and departing between 8:30-9:00

I think most of us are in cabins. I got a Hemlock cabin and I know DJ, Paul and Greg are in a Cabin.

You never can really tell how long it takes from the Boro to the Nooga. Traffic over the mountain, slowing down in the Georgia section (remember the popo last year), traffic going into the Nooga. It can go from a quick trip into a 4 hour long debacle in an instant!!!! Trust me!!!!

DANG i wish i could be in the caravan. Even the drive down there was so much fun last year. I will be catching up with you guys LATE Friday night. Im sure the party will just barely have started though

 

Not to spoil the fun but if you go out 840 to 40 it is a bit quicker to get there.
The first year I went to chattanooga and the second year I went thru knoxville.

Well hope someone takes lots of picturesand maybe some video (although I am still waiting on the video little paul did from inside my 7).
