Hello everyone..

I know some of you missed out on the April, Rotaries @ Deals Gap event.. If you missed it, here is another chance for us to meet.

RX8 guys are having an event this Sept. 7 - 11th (www.http://www.mazdanow.com/dragon2005/)

To support their event and excuse to go back up there, we the 7 owners are planning to meet up with the 8 owners on Sept 10th, 2005.

Also, Brotherhood of the Dragon (BOTD) is an open event and by signing up with them you could part take in their event (http://www.mazdanow.com/dragon2005/).

If anyone is driving from far away they are welcome to stay at my place thurs or fri night to help with the long drive. I just live about 45 mins from the dragon. Or if anyone wants to bring the wife/husband with them and stay in Gatlinburg in a cabin I can take care of you on that also.

Im down with going up there again, had a blast last time. So is the plan to get up there friday night or saturday morning to meet up with them? then stay saturday night there. Just checking.

Sweet! I was just talking to Harrison (vspecpgt) about this today. I gotta give my work enough time notice, but I'm pretty sure I'll be making out to this one!!!!

 

yea that sounds fun, i would actually like to do the whole thing, sounds like a lot of fun, and lots to do for a pretty decent price! horseback riding and rafting! wow!

 

Phil, have you made a decision on the Deals Gap event next April? There will probably be some Raleigh drivers up there with the RX8 folks in Sept, most of the 7 owners will be coming up next April.

 

Unfortunately I am not gonna be able to make it to this event. But anyone who didn't make it to the april event should really try to make it out to this. I assure you that you won't be disappointed

I might have my new 1st gen by then......BTW Im looking for a gsl or gslse rear diff for it.....the guy im buying it from hit a curb and broke the watts linkage bracket off of the rear end

Phil, so the plan is to go over there saturday? Is anyone going over on friday?
I am thinking about going again but will drive one of the 7's (I now have 9 of them) since the trucks fuel is $2.48 a gallon. THe bad thing is if someone breaks down again we won't have a truck and trailer to go get them.

Chad, I'm thinking about going, but only if Mel can get that weekend off from her commitments. She would love to see all the 7's and 8's. H wouldn't do good in the mountains and curves. We'll talk more about it offline. I'll of course drive the REPU. Need to get the seat done before then.

Chad, I'm going to head over there on friday. I have friday off.
I know, the gas price is crazy!! But also, this event is really for RX8 guys.. This coming spring, I'm going to try to get some cash (gas money) for you to bring the truck and trailer. It was really nice when that guy broke down. Thanks again for your help!!

 

I would like to take Friday off and head up there too. I hope we get a lot of 7 owners getting off that day, so we can caravan up there like before.

Any raleigh, durham, chapel hill area 7 owners going up on that friday? There is a group (4 cars so far) leaving from Raleigh around 3pm friday september 9th. The more the merrier
