Custom Car Insurance

HEY RX 7 OWNERS

Just wanted to throw this out there. I am looking into doing this and thought some of you might be interested. If you are pm me or call if you know me, and I will help set this up.

Some of you know my wife is an insurance agent locally, she is always covering our a*sses, when it comes to finances and business. She was concerned about value of my customized 87TII and researched this material.
There is a company that specializes in custom older cars and you fill out form of upgrades and take pictures, then submit and get REAL money value of car replacement insurance. I think an estimate is like 15,000 replacement value at 400 for 6months insurance.
I will have some papers tonight at CENTRALFLORIDARXCLUBMEET WITH INFORMATION to look at and see if anyone is interested. To my Miami homies you can get in on this and if you have any insurance stuff you can pm me and I will get answer for you.

This is not a service or profit making thread, only looking out for fellow rotorheads.

Is it through Haggerty or another company? We are looking at putting my FD with Haggerty when we get another car just so I can get what it's worth if something happens to it. Thanks for the info.

yes it is through Hagertys, my wife is an underwriter/agent for an independent agency, she makes sure the policies are correct, and since I know her well [subtle pause], my friends and business friends benefit from someone, not scamming them, trying to make a comission and locating the best coverage and most cost effective insurance available.

I would definitely be interested Rob but not until my car is actually done. I think allstate also has a special custom insurance like that but i kno that you have to drive the car less than x amount of miles a year. Basically you tell them how much the car is worth to you and they will cover up to that much if something happens but its quite pricey.

Classic / Enthuist insurance for pleasure cars can be insured for whatever amount you ask for. They usually start like $130/yr for $10,000 and up.

If you have a custom, just insure it for the amount you think it's worth.
