Charleson SC Dyno oct. 27

The shop next to mine is having an open house on Sat. oct. 27. It is a dyno / tuning shop. There will be a bunch of random cars there (including my Ls1 FD). I told the guys over there that I would spread the word, and figured yall would like to hear to about it. I'm not sure of the rates for running on the dyno...I'll post something up when I find out. Feel free to come by and put your car on the dyno, or watch others run theirs.

The shop is in North Charleston on Dorchester rd. between I526 and Montegue ave. off the frontage road.

thanks guy,
-John

Hey John, Thanks for posting this up for me.

I wanted to join the forums and welcome all of you guys out to the meet. The turn-our is looking like 75+ cars right now. We still have room on the dyno if you guys want to do some base-line pulls on saturday.

Here are a few sneak previews of the shop and the dyno:

You guys can see more of the work we do at http://www.av-engineered.com. I'm looking forward to meeting some more of you guys and feel free to bring the RX7 meet over to our shop.

i agree. you better give them a call and ask where the dyno maxes out, so that your FC doesnt damage it. could be dangerous

Our 224xLC is rated at 1500whp and 200mph.

We've had Stage 6's Ford GT that put out right under 1400whp on this dyno with zero problems. Sorry you guys hate honda's so much, lol. I've got pictures of some supra's, nissan's, and bmw's on the dyno if that makes anyone feel any better?

It sounds like you have a pretty nice FC set-up. What does it consist of?

As far as I know it consists of a nice paint job, a killer suspension, an one of those famed stock N/A rotarys.

Anthony,
It looks like the shop turned out pretty nice. I might be down there next weekend, so if you're gonna be up there and have some spare time I might wanna put my car on there to see what it does. No big deal if you're busy, I'll at least come by and see the place.

for the other guys...I'm not a big honda fan either, but the ones I have seen at this shop were nuts. They do excellent work over there, it's worth checking out.

Yep, it is unfortunate a lot of ricers love the civic. We try and stay away from the 'ricer' clientelle as well. The Honda's we work with are ones that put out 400+whp usually. We have a few 4cyl honda 600whp set-ups that should be at the meet as well as s2k's. We will also have our K series hatch at the meet but probably not up and running. We are looking around 700-800whp with this set-up which should get us in the 9's on the 1/4 mile.

John, give me a call at 860-1584 if you want to throw your RX7 on the dyno this weekend to make sure I'll be around. Also, that gold prelude that was up there when we got the dyno up and running ended up making 570whp.

Thats crazy. The car just looks like a regular prelude. Very impressive.

I'll call you if I can get Travis to come over there and tune it a little. I may want to put it on there anyway just to see what it does. I'll let you know.

Thumbs up

$50 for 3 pulls with wideband 02 at the meet. What year is your m3?

Let me know if you would like for me to put you on the dyno list

Anthony, whats up man, it is Justin, you have to understand the anti-Honda sentiments, congrats on opening the shop though. May come up there and dyno the Jeep.

not hating Honda, they pump out some nice machines like the NSX, integra type-R, and S2000's!!!

and as dumb as it may sound, I have ridden in a Civic w/ about 550whp and it was torque steering all over the damn highway and ***** fast!

my FC is faster than that thing tho... haha. jk. but if you want to give 1 or 2 free pulls id like to know what my car would make. I'm not going to pay to see what it makes b/c I have no engine mods or anything. But I'm down to come and drag my friends from the Mazda meet that weekend for a good time.

What's going on man? Swing by the shop, it's going to be a huge turn-out! I don't mind the Honda jokes.... because a lot of ricers have ruined the honda name, lol. Tell your buddy with the white FC about the meet as well. I forgot his name but I can't remember if he ended up fixing everything after the fire or not.

Torque steer does suck, lol. I tell you what... I'll give you 1 pull for $50 with wideband and you can get 2 for free after that, lol. I'm also doing pulls without wideband for $40. If we can get some more people booked then I can lower the price a bit. Drag some nice rx7's out.... I'd like to see some nice set-ups. And just fyi, I am not a strictly Honda Only shop. I tune a wide array of all imports as well as some domestics.
