sweetness ^_^ just ordered the s5 turbo and mani for the T2 and it should be at my door on the 20th... only bad part is dont know what lines I am going to need... any suggestions on where to find them/how to make them?

The shop he speaks of is easy to find. I am down to lend a hand but someone please send me a PM a day before so I remember. I dont come on here all that much and I may actually be getting rid of my FD. I don't want to but kind of need to. Oh well.

And the only experience I have with Majestic went like this:

They are more into domestic stuff from what Ive been told. Can't knock a shop that opened that large of a shop. They are doing something right, but then again the majority of their customers don't know their *** from their elbows when they pop the hood.....

Depends on how much you want to spend. You can probably get the lines from Atkins or himni or used on Ebay. Are you just talking about the oil feed and return lines?

 

from what the pics looked liked, just the top of the turbo was missing the lines... but I get the turbo tuesday so hopefully ill be able to figure it out

 

well the turbo came today, and i took some pics of it, and it seems that one of the oil lines is bent to the point of it not being fixable lol... ill post the pics here within a few days though.

yeah, as far as i know and as long the weather holds out, we should be fine. unfortunately, the money i was going to use for the cookout had to go to a doc appt for the wife... if anyone has any ideas let me know please.

 

the file named bent, is that hose suppose to be like that and on the second pic, missing, what line is suppose to be attached there?

 

Im sorry, Im wrong, looked again...the tube thats bent is the coolant feed and the second pic is missing the oil feed...the opposite of each are the return ports..unless its been rotated.

 

cool... Ill run by the car some time this week and see if that line is on the car... if its not, looks like im buying a new/used one lol

 

well in that case, i know the oil feed line was still on the turbo when it was snatched... any ideas on how to fix both issues?

 

either put out a wtb ad/search 2nd gen classifieds/part out's OR make your own lines but youll be paying more.

 

Hey fellas, my notorious 7 has had a issue for some time with "lagging", someone suggested its my timing. Never messed with timing before, is it easy?

I dont know for sure, but i think I might call it off due to me not having the funds for the cookout plus i dont have all the parts to get the car actually running. What do you all think, should we get it together, and finish another day, or do it all at once and actually get it started?

 

Id like to get together and start what we can. Food wise I'm sure we can find a local place to go.
