This was the FC I was referring to last night. The pics of the underside of the car are down though. His setup was a little different from what I remembered; stock mount radiator, flat mounted IC and rear mounted OC.

I think he took to the idea of mounting the oil cooler in the corner....we'll just have to see when he finally mocks up the v-mount but I think he'll have enough room.

 

Trying to get a meet up in the jacksonville area, noticing more 7 around.

 

I hope you get some people to come out. I know me and Slumdog7 will be at our garage working on ours and we sometimes have some 7 guys come over. May be having a "harness party" this weekend as well with me and another FD owner converting our harneses to single turbo so if anyone wants to come by and hang out message me.

Hey guys How you all been?

 

Bought myself an 85 GSL, noticed a flat black FC and a gunmetal FD on Western BLVD. Tried to get there attention but failed. Does anyone still get together? I know there used to be meets at Lowes back in 2009, not sure if anyone still gets together.

 

I just bought a 93 Black FD3S and I saw a black FD driving on Western BLVD and was wondering if there's a lot of em around the Jacksonville area. I wanna meet up and learn some more about the car and find out any good shops around here to get her checked out at?

 

Hey man, I only know of 2 or 3 in Jacksonville but only personally know one of them(Ryan/Red FD). Theres a couple of us in Wilmington and another friend in Elizabethtown. Honestly, I wonldnt trust anyone in the area with RX7's. I wouldnt bring ANY car to them actually. The closest place that Ive heard is reputable with 7's is in Cary. If you want to talk RX7s, work on, learn some stuff and just generally meet 7 guys Im having the friend from Elizabethtown come down this Saturday and we are converting our engine harness to single turbo. HARNESS PARTY! Youre welcome to come. Class doesnt start for another 2 weeks so Im off til then if you ever want to swing by during a weekday.

Just got an fc after months of wanting one, would like to see a meet maybe somewhere in Jacksonville.

 

I'm game for a meet near the Jacksonville area. Until I get a paycheck I won't be able to road trip to Wilmington, but I can see it possible in a couple of weeks. I own a red 85 GSL after being a moron and selling my 82 widebody FB. I currently live in Hubert and I stick around this neck of the woods seeing that most of the "cool" kid crowds in jacksonville are always bringing unnecessary attention to themselves when they meet up. Send me a pm and I have no problem just cruisin and talking rotary with anyone.

hey guys august 18th there will be a big car show on highway 17 across from the john deere. we have a bunch of sponsors and there will be judging and awards givin out. we are trying to get a mobile Dyno out there but the city doesnt want to much noise so were not sure if we can yet. all cars and trucks are welcome. there will be a $20 entry fee per car but spectators are free. all the money gos to the Wounded Warriors foundation. it will be 10-4 on the 18th. if there is anymore questions just text me at 910-284-6078. would be nice to see some 7s out there.

 

Well majestic motor sports is having a big dyno and track day aug 18th. We would love to have some rx7s show up.. i am hoping to have mine there..

 

Well, the clutch just came in today, installing it tomorrow and im hoping ll goes well so i can start driving the fc. Hope i can make it to this meet saturday.

Like I said yesterday Majestic motorsports is having a big dyno day, car show, and track day on aug. 18th.. I will hopefully have mine there.. Come on rx7 guys lets get together there and show how big the rotary scene is around here....

 

Are you guys talking about coming to wilmington Saturday to hang out with a few of us. The guy from Elizabethtown is coming and I think my friend building his FC in the garage next to me will be back from training Saturday so I know he'll be there. Another guy with an FC will probably come out as well as another FD friend of mine. ..............or are you guys talking about meeting in J-ville
