So yesterday we planned to excecute a trip consisting of 5 1/2 hours of driving to Asheville to pick up a motor, drive it an hour and a half to TN and then back to J'ville in time to attend the meet.....we woke up at 330am Saturday to what would turn into was a trip consisting of 22 hours of driving across 4 states, a tire blowout, a rotary motor tossed in the back seat of a rental jetta, the discovery of a mediocre cheap burger place that sells chili dogs with no wiener and fries with what they called special seasoning (salt I found out), Enterprise inconveniently closes at 1230 on Saturdays (wtf?!), traded the Jetta we messed up for a 2011 Ford Escape(yay rental inurance Ford Escape>VW Jetta), Samsung Nexus sucks on road trips and will leave you lost...theres more that happened on the adventure but those are stories for my grandkids. Sorry we couldnt make it but its been a hell of a week and Saturday was just the paramount of craziness.

No we dropped it off at Rotary Ressurecton in TN for a rebuild. Its for SLUMDOG7's FC. LOL, and if that was the life...uhh, Im going to start rethinking it. Im planning for finishing the FD and doing some exploring with it, not so much of what happened this weekend haha.

3 cars? Aww c'mon guys wtf?! How embarassing. And we wonder why there are no good 7 meets. Thats BS and what causes others who would potentially increase our local contact numbers to not actively try to associate with local 7 people....its disappointing. There was plenty of notice given and a bunch of people agreed I thought. So much for trying to organize another one with actual stuff to do and some financing behind it. It would just be a waste if a meet in a local parking lot only gained like 4 people. <--------------says the guy who wasnt there lol

It was a plus to get a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen together though. A BBQ wouldn't be a bad idea either. I could try to arrange one at my place sometime next month, Ill be leaving the 24th though for a month.
