Equipe Rapide does events down here too, about a year ago they had an event on the Moroso... er, PBIR kart track. I ran the Porsche because the 7 wasn't done yet.

That track was awesome. It would have been perfect for the 7, the 911 is geared waaay too tall for it though.

Thank you guys for the replies. Is there anything I need to know off the bat? Like having 4 pt harness, or anything in particular done to the car, or qualify somewhere? Or do i just show up, give them my money and name and go for it!?

You need a battery tiedown (if you don't already have one), a helmet (Equipe Rapide has helmets for rent at their events), and some masking tape to put a number on the side of your car. Besides removing your floor mats/spare tire/misc junk from the car, that's all you really need. An air tank and tire pressure gauge helps too.

Also, if your a NewB to AX look into Evolution Driving School, you will get a couple years worth of seat time in a day. I looked at their calender and nothing coming up in Florida soon, jump on an school if one popes up though.

As far as the car goes:
- Wheels need to be torqued to min 90 ft. lbs.
- Battery secure
- Floor mat out on drivers side
- Throttle must be clear and return fast after floored and let go
- they make you roll forward at about 10MPH and stop hard with your hands off the steering wheel to make sure your brakes are functioning correctly.
- Tires must not be showing cord
- No Fluids leaking.
- Radar detector, garage remote, and anything else that is loose and will fly around removed and or stored properly.
Its a slippery slope once your addicted. Enjoy and have fun.
