I am trying to get Steven Kan from KanTuning to come tune our cars with Power FC's. I have a universal Datalogit I can let others borrow so he can load maps. He is by far the best tuner according to the forum. I will be calling him tomorrow to set the date and figure out the details.

As of right now these are the details as posted below:

1) LOCATION:

St. Augustine, FL (I picked this location to be fair to orlando, jacksonville and daytona)

We still need a location in St. Augustine Florida Any ideas?

2) DATES:

December 1st & 2nd

3) CARS:

1993 RX-7 Touring 5 Speed.
Modifications: 3" Downpipe, Air Pump Delete, Track Pro Pettit Cold Air Intake.


You will need at least a minimum of 5 cars before locking a date. Typically, at least 1-2 cars will drop out before the tuning session. Try to get as many cars as you can in your area before making a commitment. (WE WILL NEED AT LEAST 8)

Here's the pricing structure.

Tuning costs:

$350 - Stock Turbo up to 12psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$400 - Aftermarket Turbo up to 16psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$450 - Aftermarket Turbo from 16psi - 25psi of boost (race gas and/or auxiliary injection only) 1 map
$600 - Aftermarket Turbo up to 25psi of boost (pump gas and race gas tune) 2 maps

On all tuning sessions there is a Non-refundable $200 deposit.

Additional costs will be applied for dyno time. Most tunes take anywhere from 1-3hrs.

Have you figured out a shop with a dyno that can be booked for 2-days, and the dyno charge ?

Does anyone have any connections with a dyno? I called EFI Alchemy. They are not available either Dec 1st or 2nd. They want 500.00 for one day rent. Before I call Steven to change his availability can someone help me out with finding the dyno?

BUt not sure of their availability.

Mase doesnt allowe others to use his dyno i think.
I think another is rpm motorsports?

Haha. He has to many nut swingers for his own good. I bet 10,000$ he can't tune evos better than my brother.

The other dyno is in a shop called MPG automotive,performance,motor sports? But definitely MPG not RPM as I mentioned before.

The first one is located in Atlantic Beach, FL (Duval County)
The second one is located in Orlando, FL

I feel like the Atlantic Beach, FL is more professional however CFT is closer to me. I am limiting the entrance to 4 other people. They dont have to be Rx-7's Steven can tune any car and they dont have to be apexi power fc's it could be any management system from the list above. As soon as i have 4 other cars I can contact either dyno depending on where most of the cars are coming from. The deadline for paying Steven and booking the Dyno is November 15th.

Come On guys I need 4 cars... Just 4 cars.

P.S. The dyno fees are 600.00 dollars so if we have 5 cars each one of us will have to pay an extra 120 dollars plus the 375 or 425.00 dollar fee for Steven to tune the cars. There is a 320.00 non refundable deposit when you sign up. 200 for Steven and 120 for the dyno people.

Mpg is just a hole in the wall garage in mayport. They usually charge 80 bucks for 3 pulls... I stopped by there but haven't used them.

The location is going to be based on the second person to sign up. I live really close to the orlando dyno but if everyone else is from north florida or georgia then I am willing to commit. As soon as I get confirmation from either of you and you are willing to commit then ill call the dyno to pencil us in. As of right now is either MPG or CFT
