im going to say the same thing i always do just because i used them and they were good to me. Rotorsports Racing, some people disagree some people use other places. i just like bryan and rusty not done me wrong and dont think they would. there not right near raliehg but in Kannapolis thats about 2 hours or so not sure exactly. depends on what you want done on the price but when i get my 2nd gen i will definitly take my motor there no question about it. there some times hard to get a hold of jsut cause they are slammed packed with work but call them up and either rusty or bryan will probably be more then willing to talk to you about what ever. the good thing about them is it does not matter if its a basic rebuild or a race engine or a 12a or a 13b or a 20b your still the same as the rest of their customers youll get their best and as quick as they can get to it. it may take a little while month or two and might cost more then other places not sure but let me tell you you get what you pay for then and any time after, you can call up with any problem and they will walk trough it or work with you and get it right. well good luck and hope you find the right place. have a good one

Same here, Rotorsports did my 91 Turbo and it's been running strong for 4 or 5 years now. Bunch of other guys at the Raleigh meets go to them. Smoken (Steve) mentioned Bruce Turrentine (spelling?), maybe some of the other guys might know where he is and so forth but He is also up there with the best from what I hear.

If you want to use someone in the Raleigh area then Bruce Turrentine is the man to see. He has a shop out in east Raleigh. He is the guy that did the engine rebuild video that alot of people use for DIY work. He builds excellent engines but that is all, you bring him your engine and he will rebuild it and then you pick it up and reinstall it. I think his business is Rotary Aviation. If you can remove the engine and reinstall it then that is the cheapest way to go.

If you want a full service rebuild then Rotor Sports Racing is the best place to take the car. You deliver the car they will customize your rebuild to your pocketbook and your wishes. They are great to deal with and honest. You pick the car up when they are done and drive it home. Of course they are in Kannapolis, NC just north of Charlotte up I-85. I agree with Rob, you'll be sorry if you let a Mazda dealership touch the engine and will end up paying a lot more in time and money to get the car where you want it.

Come visit us next Saturday, 9/24 and you can talk to guys that have used both of the shops above. Steve, Smoken' on the forum can give you more info about Bruce's operation and prices. By the way his sig comes from what happens to his tires when he hits the throttle not what comes out the exhaust.
