Any rotaries in Charleston, SC area?
Hey I'm looking to get a group of any rotary drivers together around the Charleston SC area. I live in Moncks Corner, and I have only seen two other RX-7s around.
Anyone around there?

Do you cruise around with a group already? I'd like to take a drive with a group.
I guess I don't look for them enough, I try to, but I usually only drive to and from work. lol

I'm in the northern chunk of Hanahan. You're much more likely to see me in a Saturn or a Jeep - the 7 is still on the d/l because of the exhaust and lack of front bumper.
I rarely see any nice twisty roads in the lowcountry. And too many cops/sheriffs by far. In fact, I think every ticket but one that I've gotten in the last 12 years was in the Charleston area - and I didn't live here for reals until this August.
Until December 18 or so I don't have a weekend of my own nor any evening time (exams in two weeks). From then until mid-January I'll be able to cruise, if you're interested. Maybe coastal roads from Folly to Savannah sort of thing. Should still be top down weather, if my heater still works.

Yeah sounds good.
You're right about not enough twisty roads. I plan to take a trip with my roomate (who owns an RX-8) up to Tennesse along the mountains.
I also like visiting my dad during the summer, he lives in the Apalachin mountains. Some good driving there. Too bad I don't live there anymore haha

I used to live in Asheville, so I know exactly what you mean. OTOH, in the winter the FC I had then was basically a heated sled with a windshield.
The outer banks of NC is where I used to like to cruise, but that's quite a ways away now. There's got to be something between here and Savannah, or here and Myrtle that has some interest.
...maybe someone with free weekends could go looking for a decent drive in the lowcountry?
(Back to Civil Procedure. Sigh.)

if I would have known, I would have signed up. Damn it. I just bought some stuff for the car too. I could have used that money to go. oh well.
Any other autocross events coming up here in SC?
btw: @Kenneth: haha I saw you driving around yesterday. I was just coming up the hill on 52 to Goose Creek, and you passed by and turned off some road. I waved but idk if you saw me. lol
