Any Nc clubs left?
Ive been away for a long time, last meet I went to was with Greg(RIP) and Burt at chargrill in raleigh RRDI if I recall. Where are the meets now? If there are none, does anyone want to start one?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Everyone moved away and/or moved on to other cars. Burt stopped hanging out with us after 2005 or 2006 because we partied pretty hard at DGRR. That's what I heard anyway.
a few rotary owners up here in the mountains but we don't ever get together as a club... i used to attend the SC club meets years ago... but life happened for everyone so none of those meets for YEARS!!

Man it's been so long. I left NC in 2008 but I used to go to those meets at Char Grill. So sad to see Greg passed. I think Burt may have left because I got into it with Phil Sohn before DGRR in 07 and Josh Munilla backed me up and Burt was displeased that we were fighting with Phil and making the Raleigh group look bad lol.
I went back in 2013 and met up for dinner with a few folks that are still there. Stina and David are there still I think, Josh is back but he's a Nissan guy now, Phil Rodriguez was there, I think Nic Cadenas is back around there too, and I think Joey Mabe and maybe a couple others are still there.

Was Greg the guy with the really nice FC, kind of big guy with a beard? If so, I didn't know he passed. Sad to hear.
I made it to one of the Char Grill meets in Garner and an outing up at the lake one year. Its long drive from Charlotte tho. I remember the lake cookout meet where Bryan from Rotorsports showed up. He's a lot of fun to talk to. He never remember names but always knows your car.
