Berny Hererra, president of the huge SoCal RX club emailed me this logo for us to use.
The original designer for this logo was Micah Robles, a member of the SoCal club.

The SO-CAL club used a pretty straight forward standard Rotor logo for years, but we decided to freshen up the logo a few years ago, and this was 1 of about 20 designs that were proposed. As stated by Alex, So-Cal RX Club guys, Micah Robles get full credit for this very simple and elegant design. It is slightly modified on the sticker, for easier vinyl cuts, though. The Rotor is a copy of the Rotor Mazda has been using lately.

The time is upon us... so if you have a design submit it...

I am doing this thing all by myself from the very beginning.. the setup of the bank account ... all the past raffle items i paid out of my own pocket ... over 200 dollars worth of stuff merchandise... at the meets not everyone that says that is going to go shows up... then i have to try to canvass enough money to cover my initial cost on the items... this past meet i didnt break even at all... i was actually short by $73.00 .. but oh well... even though i get the stuff at dealer cost via my business entity ZONDERVAN RX7 I still have to try to collect enough in the raffle to pay those invoices ... This past meet at Markham park I had 19 items that were given away... the most expensive one was the FD front strut bar...
I want this club to be successful... i know there will be some Drama when it comes to have to pay the membership dues... that is expected most especially from the haters and Drama queens... but that its ok... at least some of the rough edges will be whittled away... I have some people in mind that I have thought of strategically that would be put in place in order to ensure its success. I will not mention at this time their names but i have approached them and spoken to them personally about it and my ideas. Some of them you also know personally. I have been working on this whole project fortuitously since its inception very early on at the beginning of this year January 2005.

Thank you for allowing us to use this design logo as a possible logo for our soon be established club. I personally like this logo most for its simplistic design and I can see its ease in vinyl. I am hoping that when I start the next poll that the majority does vote on it and it will become the logo of choice.
Our website designer UberRX7turbo singlehandedly designed from scratch the current logos that are in the poll at present. I am grateful to Carlos for his ideas, concept and time invested in making it happen. As much as I have noted my preference I do have to take a vote from the people to keep it fair. If not. I would make like Saddam and be totalitarian about it... hmmmm
I would definitely give recognition to Micah Robles and yourself for the assistance that you have provided. At one time I had thought that if all the RX Clubs were afiliated or part of the same umbrella that there could be an exchange of contacts that could be shared. I have met some very interested providers and purveyors of RX7 paraphenalia that may be of interest to you as well as other Rotary powered vehicle owners. Its just a thought.
