Remember a Sticker is usually ONE color only, no shades of grey, no contrasting colors.

All you want is to let your fellow rotorheads know you are part of a larger group, and point them the way to join. You're not trying to teach people what an RX-7 looks like.

I can guarantee, that I would never put a sticker with three RX-7's on my car. I know it's an RX-7. You know it's an RX-7. Everybody knows it's an RX-7. It's almost as dumb as the Civic with the "Powered by Honda" stickers.
It's a Captain Obvious kind of thing.

However - on a t-shirt, I could understand the three RX-7's idea, because at least people then would know that you are talking about. There it would be more appropriate.

I agree with Alex, I think the car sticker should be simple and to the point and the T Shirt emblem should more elaborate with the different generations on it.

Wow, it's easy for me to see what I don't miss about running clubs. If I ever got into the club scene again (which I don't see happening anytime soon, but I suppose you never know), I think the perfect rotary club name only has "RX" in it with no numbers. Even though the other cars are welcome, I never liked exlcuding them in the very name of the club.

And I think #2 does look the best out of those choices. However, as Brian said, I would move the rotor more towards South Florida and I would also remove the "South Florida RX-7 Club", and just leave "So FLA RX-7 Club". Having both is redundant.

i agree the sticker should be simple and i like that one and i prefer it with the 7 at the end. the t-shirts should be with the more detail.Roger.

hey guys i voted for number 2 with out the lettering on the bottom . here's my suggestion move the rotor to the south in the state and if we could get a central fl chapter started we would move the rotor to the center of the map what do you think?

Yes, and putting a sticker on my car that I will like, is also important. That particular sticker, will not be easy to put on a car.

I thoroughly agree with Alex on this one.. we can poll one with a "7" and one without. When i think about it some more I do like the "7" on there but I also have to accept that not only RX-7's show but we have had other Rotary powered vehicles such as RX-3m RX-4, Cosmo, Pickup Truck with a 12A, and RX-8's in our gatherings. The vinyl sticker for the car can only be limited to one color and cutting vinyl appliques on a plotter would be difficult if it had to much details. Way too intricate for a cutting plotter. Colors would require multi layering of vinyl that just would not work.

We stand away from the crowd as it is... I cant tell you how many times people will ask me if i drive an RX7 and how they wish they would have had one some time in their life. We are of a different breed... that is why we love and drive our 7's.

My FC Vert doesnt have a factory decal that says Mazda or RX7.. simply because i know what I am driving... or to have a windshield decal that says Mazda if I know already that I am driving a Mazda.

Yep... wear a T-Shirt that has the three cars... that would look cool... I am really not about flash... i do have a CLR Motorsports decal on my car but that is because I support him just as he has supported me...

This Logo is used in:
Southern California = SoCal and
Northern California = NorCal

Berny Hererra, president of the huge SoCal RX club emailed me this logo for us to use.

The original designer for this logo was Micah Robles, a member of the SoCal club.

The design is nice, and simple, and looks awesome in
a sticker (one color). I am still trying to acquire one
or a picture of one for all to see.

Edit: Val, I have a larger image that UberRX7Turbo could use to modify slightly.

I voted for #2 logo ,but this one that alex put up is even nicer.uberrx7 your work has not gone unnoticed your logos are very nice,how about you add your skills to that logo and lets see what you come up with.

I retouched the logo that Directfreak submitted... I want to see what you all feel about it..
I will have Carlos redo it to fit our theme and also have one with the 7 and one without.
Once we have it then i will start a new poll to see if we can just decide on it once and for all.

Thank you. Don't use theirs. No need to copy their logo. I still say more people should submit a design. And the mere fact that you're planning on making it a sticker, it's still not going to be easy to put on. You really don't need talent. just use MS Paint, and someone can refine it.

You understand that we are not trying to Rip-Off somebody else's design right?

They [SoCal and NorCal clubs] are giving us the authority to use the Logo, and keep everybody's design looking similar. That way everyone will understand immediately, "Oh, he's from the RX-7 Club".

Instead of, "Oh look, it's got a South Beach Background, He must be from the Gay RX-7 Club".

Seriously - remember there are no NEW Ideas. Somebody's had them at one point or another. Look at Hollywood. They ran out of ideas a long time ago. Everything is a remake.

We want a nice simple logo that would be nice as a sticker, and is instantly recognizable. Just like the Golden Arches.

Personally I like the SOCAL logo the best WITHOUT the 7 on it as there are many ROTORY powered cars out there that are not Mazda's.

As Far As I Know We Are Going To Have A Rotor Like Everyone Else And It Is Going To Say Rx7 Club So People Should Get The Idea Right Away. They Must Be Good Because Yesterday You Had Your Period Going. I Think I Hit A Nerve By Just Saying If You Were Going To Use The Same Decal As Socal. You Sounding Like A Loser "but They Gave Us Permission". So..........think Of Something Else Or You Can Get The Socal Decal And Mix It Up A Bit. But W/e Man If You Envy The Group Sooo Much Go Ahead And Use Their Decal.

How is that hitting a nerve? It is specifically what I wanted - to use the
same decal as SoCal. I am sorry for wanting uniformity throughout the country.
I don't envy their group, but I did hang with them for a weekend earlier this year -with a group of over 100 RX-7's canyon carving. The only thing I may be jealous of - is that their group did not have a bunch of whiners.

As for the logo/decal thing - I have already given my dollars worth of input. Whatever the majority votes on is fine, I will not bring it up again. I suggest you put your design ideas available so they can be included in the next poll.
