Question for Jason

hey , how much boost can 93+ Rotors take?
(someone told me their was a difference between the 93 rotors and i think the 89 rotors. apparently the older rotors have lower compression. where as the 93 rotors have a 9:0:1 )
i have a " street ported " engine, my last mechanic was a lil shady. ( not going back to him ). so at worst., lets say i have a stock motor.

mods are, Greddy t-78,
and a complete Fuel system.,
2 walbro's
1600cc x2
and 850cc x2,
FMIC.,
and a Apexi Power FC
(waiting on datalogit. )

how much boost will my engine be able to hold realiably?
and whats the truth between the older style rotors and newer ones.?

The amount of HP your motor can support really depends on supporting modifications and the tune. Stock motor can support the same boost as a ported motor with the difference being the ported motor will move more air.

The older rotors are lower compression but that doesnt make much of a difference and I wouldnt worry about that.

If you have a stock motor with the mods you listed then you would be in the low 400 RWHP with a good tune at 15lbs of boost.

Get alky injection, put it up to 20 psi+ and make over 500rwp. Thats my setup at least. My engine was built by jason and xavior.

well its a lil more complicated than that.,

i paid my old mechanic, for a new motor., and lets just say i didnt know he was going to rip me off and just slap in a reman motor in and not port it.,
so i have a motor with about 14k miles on it now. and to be honest, im trying to find out how much power i can put down with just that. he said he ported the motor., but i dont trust him.

so my car is down because of a bad secondary injector staying stuck wide open., so while my car is down i might as well just get a new fuel setup. so going to talk to my new mechanic now., and tell him to put in the injectors. fuel rails, and the fuel pumps.

been running 10 psi for a while just to get the car movin, and now its time to turn up the boost. i want to go 15 psi. but worried the motor is gonna melt on me lol

...well even if its just a reman, if you are going to go with bigger injectors and pump you should be able to up the boost a little over 15. Get one of those FBI snake cameras with the light on the end and fish it through the engine to see if he ported the engine

If the mechanic didnt touch it at all and just put in a reman, you should be perfectly fine as long as you have a decent tune.

Even if its not ported you can still make decent power. Just get somebody that knows how to tune.
