My rex was threatened by a Puerto Rican. He claimed that he would make sure no one messed with it while on the street. Go to find out, him and a couple of "his" Hispanic homey's were trying to break into it...lol

I was watching them as they were in the process. Called the police from my private house, and the cops showed up and caught them in the act. I came out, acting like I left something behind inside the trunk area; you should have seen the look on his face...haha, priceless!! I keep it garaged now..

I disagree with this list. I still think japanese rotary technology is ahead of PR, AU, and NZ. The puerto ricans have REALLY been breaking new ground in drag racing. As far as technology and tuning goes, japan still leads.

I don't know why some people need to bring nationality into the equation. All that needs to be seen and admirred is that a 2 rotor finally hit 6 secs in the 1/4 mile...

You can't bitch about one person bringing up a nationality/background because every person has a different point of view and different opinions. Id it right? Is it wrong , fact it it WAS done and we can expect the numbers to continue to drop as the rotary advancements continue.

Most Puerto ricans are backyard buiders. Not engineers with tons of funds from HUGE companies. Even so a the puerto ricans can probably push more WHP than any japanese out of a 2 rotor.

Dont forget 2 rotors in PR own 3 rotors in AU.

I have no problem with puerto ricans, but i do have a problem with someone acting like their race is superior. Everything he says is telling you his race is superior. read the posts.

 

See, but here is the rub, big power does not always win races. As far as i can see, the puerto ricans right now are only doing drag racing (and doing very well at that). I was talking about tuning technology as a whole, which includes other forms of racing, not just drag racing.

Do not act like the GRS 6 second FD was some kind of backyard special, it is a very special drag racing car, with lots of time, money, engineering and effort. Just like the titan supra, or abel ibarra's Rx8. The fastest drag racing cars, or racing cars for that matter, are not small half-assed efforts.
