Yeah the black one is photoshopped, just look at the bottom edge of the door it doesnt have that upward swing of an FD. There are too many lines of an RX8 there for it to be a true conversion.
I can say that if it was a true conversion that you could sign me up for one because that thing is hot as hell!!

Nice. The only thing it needs are molded in Pettit rear fender flares to better match the front flares.

 

now that is exactly what i want..driving a FD and have everyone think it's a RX8

...some people.

also, why use a stock front end...MS looks 10x better. IMHO

 

Take that car ^^ and put the mazdaspeed bumper on it, call it the 4th gen and I'd be (reasonably) happy...hey it would kick the pants of that awful Kabura thing.

 

i agree unseen247 the mazdaspeed looks strait sexy on a rx8 but if the 4th gen 7 looked like this.. i would buy one for sure..

 

I think its ugly as fock. Those fenders bulge out so much that it unbalances the lines of the rest of the car.

The one thing I love about 90s Japanese sports cars were the long sloping hoods and wedge shapes. Ever since car manufacturers had to take into consideration how to make their cars more pedestrian safe (in regards to accidents), front ends of cars have been getting more and more blocky in the front. Case in point are designs like the new EVO X design.

Now why would you want to put such a blocky front end on such a svelte sexy car? It's like having a girl with a hot body and a disproportionately huge mandible.
