Interesting......I think that would have looked better than the RX-8. I dont understand how Mazda dicontinued the RX-7, a rotary powered turbo 2 seater coupe, and replaced it with a 4 seater RX-8 that's weaker than the previous RX-7. Don't get me wrong, the RX-8 is pretty nice, but not nice enough to replace the legend, just good enough to run along side it. In other words- that looks pretty sick, Mazda should make it and call it the RX-8 and then come up with a 4th generation RX-7 thats much better.

 

I believe that's WHY Mazda made the distinction in calling it an RX-8 and NOT a Rx-7 FE !!

 

I want to see the rear end of the black car.

I find it to be hard to look at, simply because every time I look at the front my mind says 8, but when I look at the rear my mind says 7, and for some reason they're like oil and water in my brain.

well its always been my belief that the rx8 is nothing more than a modernized 99 rx7 up front. look at them side by side common lines are there the front have of the rx8 is rx7 the rear is just *** it looks like the designers said you know what screw rx-7 took a meat cleaver and glued on that ricey *** bulbous rear end the front after the front doors screams modern

 

I agree, why would you ruin a FD like that? Could have bought both cars for what the conversion costs. Or thrown more mods on other than intake, exhaust and a dvd player.

Looks cute, real cute in pink. Performance isn't usually cute.

The tone tone is tight but i'd go with black/blue instead. I'm shure the person had access to a cheap front clip but even so, id still do an aftermarket front bumper. Why go to all that trouble fitting and painting when it would be the same work for sexier front end. I'd like to know how much width the front fenders add? The black one has the rear RX8 fender flares photoshoped. I like the idea of modernizing the look but mostly to add the HID/Zenon lights (replacing the popups).

 

Or the border, mazda speed, feed type II, etc. etc.

Not a huge fan of the Rx8 I'd never spend enormous amounts of money to make my FD look like an RX8...

 

I don't like, but interesting. Next stop: 4F4F.
