haha I saw myself at the beginning of the video! Well... the car I drove there. Sweet. I am getting really excited about this year. Last year was my first time and it was a blast! I really enjoyed that many Rx-7's and rotary vehicles just cruising the gap on the same day.

Already registered and have a good idea of the amount of Money I need for this year including gas, food, gas, and key chain/memorabilia. Really looking forward to the experience and all of the nice cars!

 

nice video Phil but do you have the raw edition without the music, I like listening to the sound of the cars more than music.

 

Reason I put the music was there were too much wind noise, from camera mounted on top of the car.. Trust me, I love to hear the sound of rotary also

Next time, I'll try to put two cameras, 1 in the car (RX7) and Another one outside of the car..

 

youve probably seen the getaway in stockholm videos, I am not sure how they do it but you can hear the engine very well.. sounds awesome especially the turbo cars. we gotta make a video like that for DGRR.. maybe put a mic in the engine bay LOL

 

They might of had another camera or sound recorder inside or by the engine. I'm planning to use 2-3 cameras this year. We'll see..

That's what I liked last year... everyone drove as a group and then we just drove some more in smaller groups. While we were resting and taking a break... there were always parts of the group cruising by. Very fun day...

I do remember the Miata that went off into the ditch... as well as the biker that lost it in front of my friend (Dregg100).

 

I know nothing about a Miata chasing the FD filming me that wrecked...

Two guys that rode with me last year up there said they won't ever do it again. And then late last year I gave a ride to someone at VIR and they left a brown stain in the passenger seat.

I have one co-pilot that loves to ride with me up there and it's a female...

 

you can't scare me I promise... unless you are a bad driver. THE fastest I have ever been riding shotgun with anyone was in this! Not on the gap tho but rather on our local runs here. I was there this day tho and the first 2 pictures are mine. I have like 100 of the car.

He is planning to make it this year from all the hype we gave it talking to him. So yeah, hopefully he cruises up with my friend and I. We have known him a long time so that'll be fun to have another friend up there.

This video is from a friend of mine. It's not a rotary, but actually a turbo Saturn. I just wanted to show you how he had his camera mounted. It got the engine great with little to no wind noise.
