Thanks, we designed and created the Tach in house. Because we use an Electromotive Tec3r, we are able to configure the tach output to 1 pulse per revolution making the original 8,000 RPM Position equal to 16,000 RPM. The backplate for the tach was created here @ MPS and then sent out for high resolution printing on translucent paper for backlighting.

Jesus! At what RPM is your power peak? What size turbo are you using? Was the driver smoking during the pass? What a bad ***

Good gawd, that doesn't even sound like a rotary when you were driving. Almost sounded like an F1 machine. I'd be afraid to drive that.

Dyno numbers on low RPM tuning

The car made 708 RWHP at 5500 RPM and 13 lbs boost using 93 octane gas. This is a real street car running pump gas. This engine is a 20B Peripheral Port Turbo with custom MPS flatside throttles and MPS eccentric shaft. This combination has a powerband that really bites above 7500 RPM and continues to well past 11,000 RPM. We will keep you posted with the high RPM numbers, where the motor really comes to life.

Impressive, I am happy to see someone making a street car with a Peripheral Port Turbo.

What is the benefit of the rectangular port then the traditional circle?

Do you plan on producing these ecentric shafts for the public. I was wanting to build my own 20b and this might (might) be a more affordable way.

On the ports I am talking out of my ***, but I believe the more square port allows for more aggresive porting. Like a cam on a piston engine I have always looked at the width of the port to be like the cams lift.....the height of the port as the cams duratioin.....and the curvature of the port as the slope of the cams lob as to which it reaches its peak lift. So a square shaped port would be a very aggresive slop that reaches peak "lift" very quickly, and a curved port is like a gradual rise to the peak lift. I hope that made sense.
